Warning: GOD’S GRAPHIC LANGUAGE (Part 1)
Our effort, or works, do not PRODUCE salvation but are instead EVIDENCE of our salvation. Let me verbalize that idea with the original Hebrew definition and I’ll warn you that God is being very graphic here about how our man works, our efforts, in an attempt to achieve salvation, greatly offend His holiness: The term “filthy rags” is quite strong. The word “filthy” is a translation of the Hebrew word “iddah,” which literally means “the bodily fluids from a woman's menstrual cycle.”; And we know what rags are. So this refers to every cult and religion, which is every faith outside biblical Christianity, that says you can or have to earn your way to heaven, which is often works done for the organization, including donating your money to them.

They teach things like getting to heaven by going to the weekend services, refraining from pork, or worshipping on Saturday. They claim those personal efforts will get you there. But God sees those as a filthy menstrual rags that you just tossed in front of God's holy throne.

Advocating works to get yourself to heaven is like throwing a bloody rag before a holy, holy, holy, God.
And it's not me saying that; God said it.
Why is God giving us such a graphic picture? "These 'righteous acts' are considered by God as repugnant as a soiled feminine hygiene product."; God is saying, Excuse me?! My son's blood was shed for you, yet you have the audacity to claim you'll get to heaven through your own efforts. | image tagged in christian, bible, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
