Biden SSI | Repost .... Prior to 1983, Social Security benefits were not taxed. In 1983, Joe Biden voted for a bill to tax 50% of Social Security. Then, in 1993 Joe Biden voted for a bill to raise the percentage taxed from 50% to 85% - and his vote was the deciding vote in a 50-50 tie - which was broken in favor of the tax increase by VP Al Gore. Joe Biden has single handedly (with an assist from Al Gore) lowered the standard of living of American seniors on social security by about 15-20%. When seniors run out of money before they run out of month, Joe Biden is the reason. Now in his and the Dems platform, they advocate raising the age to receive social security to 72 - and to cut the benefits of those with IRA's and 401k's and pensions. And Biden has voted for tax increases 31 times - and he has never once voted against a tax increase. Over the years, Joe Biden has hammered seniors and the middle class time after time.
