Here are some of her “visions”: Jesus was not the oldest son of the VIRGIN Mary, we can’t be assured of salvation, Jesus did not finish His atoning work on the cross, Jesus was not God, some races of today’s people come from sexual relations between man and animal, the Tower of Babel came before the flood, and God gave the angels gold cards to get in and out of heaven [because He's apparently able to number the hairs on all our heads, but can’t keep track of His angels.]

Ellen G White was a known plagiarist with up to 90% of some writing copied; all while she professed that her writings came from God. But of course God does not plagiarize.

Does that sound like biblical Christianity? No. And it’s not just missing the Bible’s mark in a couple areas. It's a multitude of their beliefs. We’ve just touched on a few and anyone who does the homework on SDA will conclude that they are not, at all, evangelical Christianity. IS SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS A BIBLICAL EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION?

You’ll see the answer is, no, from just a smattering of their beliefs:
They deny the immortality of the soul, the eternality of hell, and the finality of the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. They claim Jesus' atoning work finished in 1844, our sins will ultimately be placed on Satan, we become unconscious at death to be resurrected later, our own works are required to get us to heaven, the wicked will be annihilated, and like Jehovah's Witnesses (an offshoot of SDA), they claim Jesus is Michael the archangel. They also claim Ellen G White’s “visions” were from God so they added her words to their version of the Bible. | image tagged in jesus, bible, god, pray, christian, christianity | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

ISN’T ETERNAL DAMNATION A BIT OVERKILL?
It seems to make sense from mans point of view but consider God’s point of view:
"Here stands God on the day of creation. He looks at stars and He says, ‘All you stars move yourself to this place and start in this order and move in a circle and move exactly as I tell you until I give you another word.’ And they all obey Him. ‘Planets pick yourself up and whirl, make this formation at My command until I give you another word.’ He looks at mountains and He says, ‘Be lifted up” and they obey Him. He tells valleys, ‘Be cast down’ and they obey Him. He looks at the sea and He says, ‘You will come this far’ and the sea obeys. And then He looks at you and says,‘Come’ and you say, ’No!’ "; This is why hell is not overkill. Do you have any idea how wicked our rebellion against God is? Everything in the world obeys Him except us. Who do we think we are? Hell isn’t overkill! It has to exist just as long as a Righteous God exists. Why? Because only eternal punishment can suffice for sins against an eternal God. Besides, without eternal separation there could be no heaven. Why? Because evil cannot exist in heaven otherwise it would cease to be heaven! | image tagged in bible, hell, heaven, god, jesus, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS CREATED A NEW BIBLE, MERGING ELLEN G WHITE’S WRITINGS INTO GOD'S SCRIPTURE
And it’s not just footnotes. They changed God’s Word by adding a lot of her's, which often contradict Scripture.

Yet, in our Seventh Day Adventists study, we lost count of how many prophecies she got wrong. So even if prophets from God exist today, which I don't believe, can White’s teachings be trusted?

The answer is, “No! Not at all!" God's Word is infallible; it makes no mistakes. White's teachings are full of mistakes. God's Word is a perfect revelation of God's will. White's claims are full of gross errors. God's Word was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. Much of White's works was plagiarized, with some as much as 90%. God's Word shows perfect harmony throughout the Bible. All by herself, White made a huge number of contradictory statements.God's prophecies never fail while Ellen G White was wrong all the time. SDA declares that they would not have an organization without her writings. So Ellen G White is the foundation of their faith; not the Christian Bible. | image tagged in cult, bible, god, christian, jesus, pray | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS ALL MAGIC BAD?
The first five books of the Bible speak against witchcraft (magic) including the Tower of Babel in Genesis, as well as Deuteronomy and Leviticus where God says to stay away from the “abomination” of witchcraft. So, the warnings to stay away from witchcraft of any kind are from the beginning of the Bible all through to even the last page where God is saying what sounds like, "I'm telling you people that you better pay attention to this: 'Do NOT get involved with witchcraft!’ " God could have listed any one of a huge number of possible sins but what made the list there at the beginning, throughout, and then was even reiterated at the end? It is the abomination of witchcraft. God is displeased with it because the practice leads people straight to hell. Those who get involved with the occult don't get saved through Jesus Christ so they will not make it through the gates to heaven. This is a serious issue and a satanic trap God is warning about. Practicing witchcraft is no way to live in this life and not how we get to the next. I like what one guy said: "God is a God of miracles. Satan is a performer of magic.” All the devil has is magic tricks—witchcraft. Satan does have considerable power but it's nothing compared to God. Relative to God, the amount of Satan’s power is no more than a dust particle on the hair of a flea. And the devil’s power is even counterfeit, being made up of the lies, trickery, and occult practice, including witchcraft. It's enough power to dupe us into thinking it's something special, like what God can do. But it's not
at all godly and instead leads us astray, ultimately ending up in hell. | image tagged in magic, witch, frozen, harry potter, bible, god | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DOES KELLOGG'S CEREAL HAVE TO DO WITH BIBLE PROPHECY? The inventor of breakfast cereal, John Kellogg, was a Seventh-day Adventist, who believed the Second Coming of Christ was imminent so the formal education of his children was not necessary. But that's not the balance we need in understanding Bible prophecy. In fact, even in biblical Christianity, the Church seems to be mostly at one end of the spectrum or the other. Some act like we don't need to study Bible prophecy because Jesus is never coming back. They claim there is no imminency of the Rapture, which is wrong. Others want to use the idea that it could happen today as a way to get out of our responsibilities while living. Many of the latter, think they don't need to get a job, educate their children, or even have children because their kids would be unsaved and have to go into the Seven Year Tribulation. The unbiblical teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization are also similar to the latter. But that is not a well-balanced approach, which is this: Yes, it could happen today. However, I also need to prepare for living each day as if it could still be a while. It's like a railroad track: you'd be in big trouble if you ended up on only one rail. You need to travel through life on both rails at the same time. Apparently, that is a balance in the study of Bible prophecy that Kellogg didn't have. | image tagged in prophecy, cereal, god, bible, jehovah's witness, adventist | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
