So, religions like Hinduism take advantage of that mindset by having their followers perform rituals to appease the 300 million Hindu gods (demons). Man’s need for religiosity allows religions to control people, just as Hindu priests did in early Hinduism, growing in power by threatening non-compliant follower's with bad “Karma," meaning the person would continue being stuck in an endless loop of supposedly living one life after another.
