![SHOULD THE BIBLE BE OUR ONE SOURCE OF
AUTHORITY ON THIS PLANET? YES! And we Christians need to keep that truth! Don't just give the idea lip service, have it on your website, or only make it one more doctrinal statement. Praise God that we can stick to that truth and never be steered wrong. Take it, cherish it, and hold tight to it! Instead of an empty statement, this truth has to drive our behavior. Many people, including professing Christians, do not follow the dictates of the Bible for what they believe and how they behave. Instead, they more value their own personal opinions, as well as those from secular society, the educational system, the media, and their friends. In practice, those are what people really believe in. But all that is just a hodgepodge of everything from a fallen society, rather than taking direction from God's
Word in the Bible. Just keep your path clean and pure with God because
He never gets it wrong. Stick to the Bible as your only source of authority. The sixty-six books of the Bible constitute God's ONLY written revelation to mankind—and if it were possible, we should be emphasizing the importance of that word, ONLY, with exploding fireworks all around it, and huge dragon heads shooting fire at it, just to emphasis the word more. When Joseph Smith, other Mormons, New Agers, Hindus, or anyone, including professing Christians, try to tell you they have a “new revelation,” or new “Word from God” for you, what should be your response? You should firmly respond with something like, No, you do not! The Bible is sufficient for me. "The Bible...is the inspired, verbal [the very words,] plenary [all of the words,] infallible [trustworthy because it is without error in the original manuscripts,] Word of God. The Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice (Matthew 5:18; 22:31-32; Galatians 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)." Unfortunately, that is not the practice for many professing Christians.

[Part 3 of 3] Unlike God's prophetic ability, our study of "World Religions, Cults & the Occult," has shown that man cannot be successful in his prophecies. God made 2500 predictions, which He gave us through the Bible. And 2000 have already come to pass. Through Bible prophecy, God is saying, I wrote this book! You cannot say it came from man because logically I did what only the Supreme Being can do: only I am above and beyond time, seeing the beginning from the end. I made thousands of predictions before the events later happened, many of which I gave in great detail. God's prophecies give very specific
details, unlike psychics that only throw out vague predictions like, “I see you meeting someone new.” Ya think? Give me a break! It's crazy how ambiguous they are, just leaving people to fill in the blanks. But God’s predictions are full of detail and then He nails the outcome every single time. So, is it any wonder that those in the Christian Church who are not taught Bible prophecy start to doubt the Scriptures? Bible prophecy isn't just about what our future is going to be like. Prophecy proves God wrote the Bible. I really think the neglect of feeding the flock from the whole Bible, especially Bible prophecy, is part and parcel of why much of the Church today is doubting the Bible. Again, over 2000

Why are they not confident in God's Word? It's because they are not being taught Bible prophecy, which makes up a third of the Bible. With all due respect to your pastor (and I am one), I want to ask them this: How can you sit there and say you are being a faithful shepherd if you deliberately and purposely keep a third of the Bible away from your congregation? How would those here at Sunrise Bible Church react if I said,
"Hey guys, as your pastor you know I love you and only want the best for you, but with that in mind and for your own good, I want to announce that we as a church will be tearing out a third of my Bible that you and I don't need to hear because it's doom and gloom. If I said that, what should they do? They should immediately kick me out! And because that’s true, why is it acceptable for pastors behind the pulpit to deliberately refuse to equip their people with a full third of the Scriptures? Pastors today won’t preach about how Bible prophecy demonstrates the authenticity of the Bible, which then proves it truly came from God because only He knows the future! "One of the most significant evidences for the divine origin of the Bible is prophecy.” But what do we hear in the Christian Church today? The vast majority of pastors are saying something like, “Please don’t make me learn Bible prophecy, which is full of wacko conspiracy theories and the last thing I need to preach." Completely contradicting that idea, God says
this right at the beginning of the prophetic book of Revelation:; "Blessed are those who read and take to heart the words of this prophecy [Revelation.]” All God's Word is a blessing but He says He will triply bless us for studying Bible prophecy. ![IS THE BIBLE A HISTORICALLY-RELIABLE DOCUMENT? [2 of 2] The second test is the “Internal (Eyewitness) Test," which considers the credibility of the authors and the truthfulness of what was written. Those collaborators for the Bible did not compile it willy nilly. Instead, they asked logical qualifying questions like whether the author of a potential book to be included was an apostle of Christ (spent a lot of time with Jesus), whether a book agreed with the rest of Scripture (God does not lie or contradict Himself), had the book been accepted
by the early Church (they were there at the beginning),
and had it been quoted by the early Church (to have used it,
they must have believed the quote was from God). ; Sir David Dalrymple gathered together the early Church fathers' letters, from which he said he was able to reconstruct the entire New Testament using just quotations (except for only seven verses). An added qualifier they used was whether a book came with the power of God. There is something about reading the one-and-only Bible that just comes up and hits you in the eyes with the power of God. You can't get that from something whipped up by man. So, those are some very effective filters used to give us the Bible through a process that was the opposite of careless, casual, or haphazard. The third test is the “External Test,” which includes historical events, geography, archaeology, and cultural

![IS THE BIBLE A HISTORICALLY-RELIABLE DOCUMENT? [1 of 2] There are three tests.
The first is bibliographic, which examines whether the documents we have today are the same as those originally written by the authors. "This test considers the quantity of existing manuscripts and the time between the earliest copies and the originals.” When people try to mock the Bible as untrustworthy, keep this in mind: there are only 49 copies of Aristotle's writings in existence and each is at least 1400 years removed from the original. It get's worse: of the writings of Plato, who used to be my son's favorite philosopher—or maybe that was "Play-Doh”—there are only 7 copies on the planet and they are 1200 years removed from the original. Contrast that with the Bible, of which we
have over 24,000 copies and they're finding more all the time. The earliest of those is only 25 years removed from the original and even from within the lifetime of the actual authors. Yet people don't think to question the authenticity of Aristotle or Plato's writings, while they scoff at the Bible. It makes no sense! And the Bible’s preservation story gets better than 25 years. In the same community where the Old Testament Dead Sea Scrolls, were found, just in the last few years they have actually also found copies of the New Testament books. And if you use the dates people estimate for the writing of New Testament manuscripts, based on what they just found, we now have portions of the Gospel of Mark from within 13 years of being written, portions of Romans from within 11 years, James within 8 years, Acts within 5 years, 1 Timothy within 5 years, and portions 2 Peter from
the exact same year it was estimated to have been written.
Yet people want to mock and scoff at the Bible. Excuse me?!
