DON’T ALL FAITHS LEAD TO HEAVEN? [3 of 3] Catholicism creates a challenge for us Bible-believing Christians who try witnessing to their followers: Catholics claim to revere the Bible, even though it is not their ultimate source of truth and authority. Instead, Catholic leadership also esteems the teachings from fallible and even greatly flawed Catholic men throughout history, holding those guys as equal—and often even more reliable—than the Bible. Writings from the popes, church councils, and church fathers are three-fourths of Catholicism’s sources of “truth.”; But these were just ideas and beliefs from average humans who make mistakes, which is why Catholicism puts out so much false teaching; their source of ultimate truth is not the Bible. When pushed to decide on discrepancies between Catholic teachings and the Bible, the organization’s leadership has often sided with man over God’s Word in the Bible. The Creator of all things and the Author of truth ends up taking a back seat to the teachings of Catholic men,
and this reverence for manmade beliefs is what has tragically happened
in countless false faiths and cults throughout history. | image tagged in heaven, hell, immortal, bible, god, religion | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DON’T ALL FAITHS LEAD TO HEAVEN? [1 of 3] Scripture says our world lies under the power and sway of the evil one, Satan, and the Bible’s book of Acts (chapter 2) is where we see Christ’s Church born—which is when the devil was defeated—praise God! Though Lucifer knows this, he’s so stinking evil that he has continued his deceptions for the two centuries since Jesus’ victory. The devil dupes as many humans as he can, so that we people, who are made in God’s image, will join Satan for an eternity of judgement in the Lake of Fire. His main despicable tactic is setting up false faiths by polluting God’s Word in the Bible, getting us away from it, twisting it, cutting from it, pasting into it, and anything else he can do to corrupt truth. He wants us to believe anything and everything, as long as it is not the honest Word of God. Over two centuries, that process has led to countless pseudo-Christian groups like false world religions and cults, as well as other cults and pagan occult groups; so many deceptive beliefs that the average person today can’t imagine God would only save those on the narrow road of Christianity.
But that just reflects how well Satan has done, which makes sense because
he’s not only smart, he’s had six thousand years to study us. | image tagged in islam, christian, catholic, heaven, hell, faith | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE “SINNERS IN THE HANDS OF AN ANGRY GOD?” Written in 1741, as part of what lead to America’s First Great Awakening, Jonathan Edwards gave this sermon about how unrepentant sinners are only still breathing—not in hell already—because of God’s mercy and long suffering to give them more time to choose God, over an eternity in hell without Him: "There is nothing that keeps wicked men, at any one moment, out of hell, but the mere pleasure of God. God may cast wicked men into hell at any given moment. The wicked deserve to be cast into hell. Divine justice does not prevent God from destroying the wicked at any moment. The wicked, at this moment, suffer
under God's condemnation to hell. The wicked must not think, simply because they're not physically in hell, that God is not—at this very moment—as angry with them as He is with those miserable creatures He is now tormenting in hell, and who—at this very moment—do feel and bear the fierceness of His wrath. At any moment God shall permit him, Satan stands ready to fall upon the wicked and seize them as his own. Simply because there are not visible means of death before them at any given moment, the wicked should not feel secure. All that wicked men may do to save themselves from hell's pains, shall afford them nothing if they continue to reject Christ." It is said that, as Edwards preached, he kept being interrupted by people running
down the aisle and dropping to their knees, asking what they must
do to be saved. That began to spread throughout our continent
during the time before the American Revolution of 1776. | image tagged in sin, god, jesus, bible, heaven, hell | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO OUR EFFORTS PRODUCE SALVATION OR ARE THEY EVIDENCE OF IT? [1 of 2] Warning, God’s graphic language: Our efforts (works) do not produce salvation; instead, they are evidence of it. Let me illustrate that idea with the original Hebrew definition, but I will warn you that God is being graphic here about how our works, to try achieving salvation for ourselves, greatly offend His holiness. The Hebrew term “filthy rags” is quite strong. The word “filthy” is a translation of the Hebrew word “iddah,” which literally means “the bodily fluids from a woman's menstrual cycle.” And we know what rags are, so this description of bloody rags refers to every cult and religion that prescribes works to make it to heaven, which includes every faith outside biblical Christianity—yes, every single one—because
they all claim their followers have to earn there way to that faith’s
good afterlife. This often includes volunteer work done for the organization, like recruiting new members, as well as donating a lot of money over many years. These false faiths teach things like getting to heaven by going to the weekend services, refraining from pork, or worshipping on Saturday. They claim those personal efforts will get you salvation through your own efforts, but God sees those organization’s prescribed works for what they are: each of those ill-advised efforts—to add to or circumvent salvation through Jesus alone—is like you tossing another filthy menstrual rags in front of God's holy throne. Advocating works to get yourself to heaven is like throwing a bloody rag in front of a holy, holy, holy God. And
it's not me saying that, God said it. Why is God giving us such a graphic
picture? "These 'righteous acts' are considered by God as repugnant
as a soiled feminine hygiene product." God is saying—Excuse me?!—my
son's blood was shed for you, yet you have the audacity to claim
you will somehow get to heaven through your own efforts. | image tagged in salvation, heaven, hell, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
