DO YOU KNOW THE SINS OF ALL CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN OBLITERATED? This is so cool! Not only can Christians relax in total peace because God has cleansed us of all sin, but when God says He will no longer remember our sins, the Hebrew word means that Christian’s sins have been obliterated. Our sins have been eradicated out of existence. Just forgetting them was not enough for God, so any trace of our sins has been removed. There is nothing left of them!! With that in mind, in Philippians, Paul councils us Christians to look at our sins the way Paul does: "I forget what lies behind and run swiftly toward what's ahead.” What was ahead for Paul (and is for us) are rewards to lay at the feet of Jesus for helping build His
kingdom. Paul strove heavenward at the task Christ had for Him. The Greek word "forget" means "oblivion," so God is saying He obliterates any memory of our sins and Paul lets us know that means we are not to dwell, for even one moment, on past sins. This is absolutely awesome!! For Christians, not matter how horrible your sin might have been and whether it happened a year ago or one minute before now, that sin has been expunged, eliminated, exterminated, and annihilated from all memory. Why? That's what God has done for us because he loves us, and so that we can focus on helping others come to heaven with us, which means we must thank Him by moving forward to witness to others about God’s glorious love—and justice that will surely punish sinners who have not humbled themselves to accept the free pardon God is offering, which is given to
all those who will rely on the sacrifice Jesus made of Himself on the cross,
an act that has obliterated every sin of a Christian. | image tagged in sin, heaven, hell, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
