DAY 40: WHY DO LESS THAN 50% OF
CHRISTIANS TRUST THE BIBLE 100%? [1 of 4] Knowing the Bible is exactly the way God wanted it laid it out for us, Christians can fully trust it as the only book that has all God’s truth and instructions, the correct history, and a completely reliable look into our future. Contrary to that solid foundation for life—which involves a relationship with Jesus—cults and religions just prescribe rituals, donations, mantras, sacrifices, worship of malevolent entities (demons), and other works you must perform because of empty threats and promises. And those teachings from man don’t reveal ultimate knowledge and truth because only the
Bible can do that. In fact, much of man’s teaching involves lies. Of course, the Bible has skeptics who claim we can’t trust that Moses around 1445 BC wrote about the Garden of Eden in Genesis. But that’s the importance of the Bible’s genealogies, like the three men in Genesis 10 who together live through the first 2157 years of mankind. How could that be? Well, we know people lived longer life spans during the first couple centuries, and that’s not just spiritualizing the biblical text: We even have proof scientifically, as we detail with our study called In the Days of Noah, which is part of
our Creation Series. So, much of Scripture’s history came from only
three guys who knew each other for a long, long time; it wasn’t
just some breakout session during a weekend conference that
hopefully archived the information accurately. | image tagged in bible, christian, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 39: WHAT DOES THE HINDU GREETING
“NAMASTE” MEAN AND SHOULD CHRISTIANS SAY IT? Here is a thorough explanation: “The word namaste, pronounced ‘NUHM-uh-stay,’ is a common [Hindu greeting in India,] often used in conjunction with a small bow and with the palms of one’s hands placed together, fingers up, in front of the chest.... With some aspects of the Hindu/Indian culture becoming increasingly popular in other parts of the world, yoga for example, the use of namaste is increasingly popular as well. “A Christian
should not say or do anything that originates from a different
religion without first examining its meaning and origin...
The word itself literally means ‘I bow to you’;
culturally, it has come to mean, ‘I bow to the god in you,’
and more fully, ‘the god in me bows to the god in you.’; “The saying of namaste is incompatible with the Christian faith. Human beings are not gods. There is only one God, and He does not share His glory (Isaiah 42:8). Bowing to or showing any sort of respect to any false god is idolatry [Ten Commandments.] Depending on the version of Hinduism, Hindu beliefs and practices are polytheistic [many gods] or pantheistic [all is god] or a mixture of both. Namaste seems to come from the more pantheistic forms of Hinduism that see everything and everyone as god. Whether you actually intend to communicate the literal meaning of namaste is irrelevant.
Would you say, ‘You are a god; I bow to you’ to someone in
English? Neither should you say a word that means precisely
that in Hindi, Nepali, or any other language.” | image tagged in hindu, namaste, god, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 38: HAVE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE BEEN
DUPED BY HEALTH AND WEALTH PREACHING? One such organization, the Church of God, claims Christ’s death on the cross—for God’s glory and our sins—provides complete physical healing for everyone. That is also part of the Charismatic movement that became the Word of Faith preachers. The latter claims that those with enough faith will have perfect health and become wealthy. Unfortunately, the people getting rich are the preachers requesting your donations to prove your level of faith; the greater the check you send them, the more faith you have. Yet, those requesting your money don’t even have the perfect
health they promise donors. While preaching perfect health and wealth is just
lying to grab people’s cash, it is true that God can heal. I’ve personally seen
and even experienced it, but that doesn't mean God always heals us. We see that in the Bible with the Apostle Paul who experienced serious illness. Did he not have enough faith? Maybe he wasn’t “sowing enough seeds” into a health and wealth preacher’s ministry. Is that why Paul was not in perfect health? And Philippians 2 talks about Epaphroditus, Paul’s co-worker for Christ who nearly “worked himself to death.” He obviously did not lack the faith to be healed. And Scripture says Paul’s spiritual son Timothy was often sick. Did Paul recommend to either of those two that they should have more faith to become as healthy as
they’d like? In fact, with Timothy’s medical problem, Paul told him to take
certain liquids that might help better than just water. Good thing Timothy
had the right instructions for life from God, just as all of us
can access every day in the Bible—no donation required! | image tagged in god, church, religion, charismatic | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 37: WHAT IS THE NEW AGE MOVEMENT, AND HOW IS IT PERMEATING AMERICAN SOCIETY AND THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH? Some would say the New Age movement refers to the flower-loving, freewheeling 1960s crowd who wore tinfoil triangles on their heads. Others will say it is those who fear for the ecosystem. And some will give you a blank stare because they have no idea what New Age is. Little do any of these people realize, the beliefs and teachings of the New Age movement have not only permeated virtually every sector of our society, including the Church, today they are leading mankind toward the greatest time of deceit this planet has ever seen. Our study New Age & The Last Days Deception seeks to give the reader an in-depth insight into the background and beliefs of the New Age movement and how it is attempting to lead and deceive
our planet. We cover New Age basics, history, where it is in
our society, beliefs, astrology, mediumship, Oprah and her
New Age friends, yoga, and New Age divination. | image tagged in new age, hindu, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
