Could've been better, but it could've also been FAR worse | Here's part 2 of my review of the hg typhoeus Gundam chimera; As I said in part 1, I don't want the meme generator to glitch out, so I'm gonna show it without the kutan twin dragon type attached here. For looks it's... Different. The gold is pretty unique, but there isn't much else to say. For weapons, without taking anything off the kutan twin dragon type it only has this small beam rifle. It doesn't fit well in the hand and honestly feels like it was an afterthought when they were designing this. It gets a bit better when you attach a shield and cannon from the kutan, but what's disappointing is its lack of melee weapons. And yes, there are parts to let you attach both shields and cannons. So here's what that looks like; For articulation it's got pretty unique shoulder joints, but the legs are pretty disappointing. In case you can't see the problem here, these are attached with ball joints. Nearly identical to the ones generally used in entry grade kits, and just as bad. They have heavily limited leg mobility; Not the best kit without the kutan twin dragon type, but it's not terrible. 6.5/10 without the kutan, 9.2/10 with it | image tagged in gundam review | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Link to part 2 in comments when I make it | Sorry I took so long to make this. Here's my review of the hg typhoeus Gundam chimera! Starting with looks, there's nothing I don't like about this. This is meant to be menacing as hell and accomplishes it PERFECTLY. It's not that bad without the kutan twin dragon type attached but I'll get to that later. I've also done a little more than panel-lining on this so take any small bits of Gold or silver with a grain of salt; Articulation is about what you'd expect. The arms are wonderful and the legs can't really hold their weight. Luckily bending the knee a bit helps make poses look a bit better like I've done here; Here's a small mistake I made back when I was taking pictures for this. I had the tubes on the back attached like this, but this isn't the intended way. ... THIS is. I was kinda thinking it looked weird from the side but luckily I was able to figure out why. One of the things I really like about this kit is that it came with TWO witch from Mercury weapon stands. For almost a hundred bucks it'd honestly be disappointing if it DIDN'T have these. I got it as a gift and it was discounted to 70 but still. These are especially useful since this has a grand total of 12 separation gimmicks, 8 are shown here; And if you're wondering about the other 4, here they are. There's enough wires for both arms and legs to do this; The size comparison with this thing is honestly hilarious. These are master grades, and they still look short compared to this thing. You'd think they would at least reach the shoulder but NOPE! I'm not sure I'll be able to fit everything in this review because the meme generator glitches out if I make these too long, so I'll cover the typhoeus Gundam on its own in part two. I'm just glad you can tell what the transformation is meant to be | Finally finished the gundam koneko! Here's how it turned out; As with my other custom posts, this is NOT a review. Rating it would feel narcissistic. Anyway, I like how the colors turned out, although you can't really see the heterochromia inspiration as easily in this mode. This was a chaotic mess before I painted it, but now that it has a more consistent color-scheme it looks like an actual Gundam rather than a pile of parts vaguely in the shape of one; As you could probably tell, I used the livelance heaven's lance as part of the tail, but I ALSO decided to keep one of the compatible extra parts so it can have a shorter blade if needed; The cat mode is... About what you'd expect from a fully custom transformation. I overestimated the size of the head so I couldn't use the exact mechanism I had in-mind, but that's probably for the best. At least you can see the heterochromia inspiration a bit better; I tried putting it in sort of a mid-air slashing pose but it honestly looks like it's getting shot out of the sky, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and hope it just takes some getting used to.
