Ha ha! I thought I was at the circus in boot camp! I was older than everyone else I was older than my drill sergeant. I would drive hi absolutely bonkers! He'd scream at me and I'd look at him and say, "Use your inside voice Sergeant ". Oh, he made me do push ups but before I went in I could do hem one handed. Made an ass of him! Then he pulled me aside and we had a great talk and from there on I helped him and if anyone lagged behind on anything I'd help them till they got it correct! I read and memorized the manual, completely! No one could get me on anything, I was a slick motherf**ker! I had two kids by then! But as you can guess, I was called "Grandpa!" But I never considered that all of those 18 year olds would look up to me like they did! Grandpa this, Grandpa that! But, they'd kill for me, all I had to do was point at someone and say "Kill!" Lol

Boot camp memories! Good stuff!

For me it was fun, I had a blast! I miss my M-14, I threw the M-16 (look,mum not getting all technical on the gear, I could care less! Lol) back at them and said "We varmint hunting?" And made such a stink (remember, I knew all the rules) they issued me a M-14. Lol. Graduation on the parade grounds you could pick me out by the rifle I was holding! I'm told I was the only one to ever do that! Lol :)
