THANK YOU! Simple economics. I'm not sure what people think these countries are like. It's this weird american exceptionalism where they just assume other countries have social safety nets.

Yeah, it's like, "Well, sure we know these people are living way, way worse than our poorest citizens, are in horrible conditions and yet have to stay there because there is literally no other option for them except... well, you know."

Fact: republican party was founded mostly on its opposition to slavery,.. and the Republican party abolished slavery. In 1865, the 13th amendment to abolish slavery was passed with 100% republican support. . And only 23% democrat support in congress. And... so ye libs know,.. it was the Republican party that voted to give the freed slaves full US citizenship while it was opposed by democrats.
