What's wrong with early-term abortion? If the fetus hasn't developed brain activity or consciousness, it's fundamentally no more a violation of humanity than using contraception.

Brain activity begins at about 10 weeks. Most women don't even know they're pregnant until 5 or 6 weeks along. So there's about a 4-5 week window to make a decision. Since we define "living" as having a heartbeat and brain activity, shouldn't we define death the same way?

At 18 days theres a heartbeat , at 5 weeks brain activity and a spinal cord. Science has 4 requirements to be "scientifically alive"

- Have its own individual Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA).
- Extract energy (food etc.) from its surrounding to convert it into energy to sustain itself.
- Sense changes in surrounding and respond to those changes.
- Be able to reproduce.

The embryo ( human ) can meet all of these requirements.
