Maybe we should be more like the rest of the world and make immigration less accessible. Have you ever been to Canada? Just visiting the country you have to fill out why you are there, how long you will be there and and soon you are leaving. The thing is I was just there on a layover and I still had to fill all of that stuff out.
Try immigrating there. Try immigrating to Mexico. I could immigrate to Mexico because my mother-in-law was born and raised in Mexico. So her children and their spouses have a much easier time of immigrating there. But if you don't have that then it is jumping through hoops.
It was Senator Teddy Kennedy (I think) who changed our immigration law to let anyone in. Prior to that we are more like Canada. You could only immigrate if you had a skill that was in demand or you came here to open a business. Everyone else was rejected.
Now it is anyone at all. When Biden was president he was even offering illegal immigrants free housing, free cell phone and welfare. I know Democrats hate to hear this but that was the American people paying for them. We'll let millions go homeless but illegal immigrants get whatever they want.
If you want to stop the cartels affect on the United States, then shut that border down tight. Biden gave them free reign to sell whatever they wanted by opening our border. Now we have several cities where people for miles are just standing there doing the fentanyl flop. That is sickening. Most of those people will eventually die because fentanyl is an extremely dangerous drug.
Much of it is not coming from the cartels. It is coming from China through Mexico.
