When that happen? Seriously? You guys boycotted Chick-Fil-A because the previous president of the company said he was in favor of traditional marriage.

My wife's liberal friend was still ranting about that 2 years ago when I informed that the president had passed away a few years ealier.

What is wrong with traditional marriage? Why is it that you guys held a boycott Chick-fil-A day? Do you know what the rest of us did on that day. We went to Chick-fil-A and had lunch. Chick-fil-A showed record profits that day because all of the rest of us slammed your boycot.

Ever since some time in the late 60 and especially in the 70's leftist movie makers were making all sorts of movies high lighting divorce. Divorce for any reason. It was a way to show how a man or woman was so brave that they would leave their spouse and children and "be who they really were" or that stupid 70's phrase, about finding themselves.

Marriage was show as just a meaningless piece of paper.

Fast forward to about 10 or more years ago and all of the sudden marriage between same sex couples was no longer meaningless. It was important that same sex couples get married.

At the time marriages outside of a religion were handled by the counties of each state. That would take far too long to convince all of those counties to allow same sex marriage so you turned to the Supreme Court who had no jurisdiction over the counties. And at that time liberal activists held a majority. Therefore the Supreme Court, and unelected body, unconstitutionally made law establishing that same sex marriages were legal.

Not a single person ever got to vote on that. Because the left who claims the right is always destroying democracy has absolutely nothing but contempt for the democratic process.

My guess, like Roe v Wage, at one point SCOTUS will reverse its decision on same sex marriage because they do not have the right to create law.

Only the Representative have the right to create law. They represent the people of their districts. They are the voice of the people.

SCOTUS is not the voice of the people. Roe v Wade was an unconstitutional law created by SCOTUS. Same sex marriage is an unconstitutional law create by SCOTUS.

Both of those "laws" are anti-family and anti-reproduction.

The birth rate of any society that will continue needs to be 2.1 children per married couple on average. Our birth rate is 1.8. Because I know how the left thinks, this has nothing to do with race, this is the over all birth rate of all races in America.

If we continue this trend, it may take 100 or more years but we will have bred ourselves out of existance.

The birth rate is even lower in Europe. Russia recognized this problem over a decade ago and tried to give incentives for couples to produce more children.

Islam has the highest birth rate right now at 8.1 or thereabouts. With that kind of birth rate it won't even need to be 100 years before Sharia law is global.

But you just keep thinking that this is an attack on gays if that is all your brain can handle.

You never asked me that question. Yes. Straight people who can't have kids should be allowed to get married. Why do you think the birth rate has to be 2.1 on average. Couples who can have kids have to make up for the ones who cannot have kids.

But when you promoted homosexual couples and people who voluntarily mutilated their reproductive organs, now straight couples who can have kids need to up the ante. Perhaps they need to have 2.5 kids to make up for the non-reproductive people. I don't know what the number would be but it would be an increase over 2.1 kids.

Here is where the left once again pushed the big government, less freedom agenda. The ran SCOTUS once again because they had an unpopular idea and they wanted SCOTUS to violate the constitution once again and create law. As long as leftist activists have a majority in SCOTUS they will gladly oblige. We had an unelected body create law that made a minority of authoritarian narcissists happy.

Here is the freedom way of which it should have been handled. The way the authoritarians on the left would never allow.

Get the House of Representatives to create legislation that would remove the government entirely from marriage. No government entity would be allowed to perform a marriage.

Why? Well the left doesn't need marriage. They have been clear about that for decades. They have mitigated marriage to be a weak legal contract that has no value.

Marriage has always been a religious rite. The only reason why governments ever got involved was because in Europe at one time the Church and the State were one in the same.

I think our country continued with government marriages because many churches would not perform a marriage on couples where the woman had gotten pregnant.

That is not true today. In fact their are major Christian denominations that will gladly marry couples where the woman is pregnant or they have already had children. They will gladly marry same sex couple as well.

Homosexuals who want to get married will then have to fulfill whatever requirements those churches have and then they can get married.

This way, no unconstitutional laws are forced on the people who would otherwise overwhelmingly oppose. Homosexuals can get married. The government is not given more power and control over the lives of the people.

The authoritarian left HATES that because they want to force bakers to make wedding cakes for homosexual couple. It is more important for the authoritarians to force people to submit to their will then to tell the gay couple to find another baker who would have no problem making a wedding cake for them.
