If this brings down public schools, think of the benefits:
A. Parents will shift to private schools and/or homeschooling.
B. Academic performance will increase.
C. Towns with no public schools will be able to increase funding for other priorities and/or lower property taxes by up to 70%. (I'd rather lower property taxes to the lowest possible level and encourage residents and businesses to move in.)
D. If enough communities are able to eliminate their public school districts, someone should host a conference for mayors of towns without public school districts.
