I watched the video he was a brave man and deserves credit. Keeping the threat outside was a huge part of containing it too. From what I understand the shooter found himself in a crossfire. I hope he died slowly, scared and went straight to hell. Naturally I mean that with a loving heart.

I read a report he died self-inflicted gunshot.

I read a detailed report, he did take the cowards way out because he didn't want to get shot dead or captured.

Cool, just because I'm liberal doesn't mean I don't agree

Imagine a world where this doesn't have to happen all the time.

Why can't we live in that world? One where we dont' have to carry guns and constantly worry about being randomly killed by someone who shouldn't have a gun but does.

When the bad guys realize that the good guys with guns start outnumbering them, it will stop on its own.
People stop doing bad behaviors when the certainty of commensurate negative consequences outweighs any benefit of the crime.

Another good guy saves lives...

You know, I often forget that you have trouble distinguishing reality from fantasy but then you come along and remind me.

Because a gun is a tool. If it wasn't guns it would be something else. The problem is MOSTLY with people who disassociate from others and see them as obstacles or objects to be done with as they please. They don't see others as people worthy of respect. Folks who cannot see others as worthy of respect are quite simply dangerous to society and those around them. Sadly our culture...in particular our political culture...has been pushing a division where we see others as less than...or obstacles.

Since it is a tool though I believe it is my responsibility to use it wisely and responsibly. It is my responsibility to have and use the tools which give me the best method for solving problems caused by those who look at others as objects. I hope never to find myself in a situation where I have to take out my weapon. But if that event should occur I hope I acquit myself as well as many of the private citizens who have taken on active shooters and stopped rampages by opposing them quickly and effectively. To do it quickly and effectively...you need to practice with your tools and you need to have them available.

Okay, so you understand that the problem is that people who shouldn't have access to guns have ready and easy access to guns.

But you're not willing to fix either problem.

Why is that?
