There was a really interesting article I found by accident while looking up who knows what about a decade ago, back when I first got active in commenting here. It was about the many similarities between the Alt Right and ISIS. Everything from being from broken homes without a father figure, abuse, can't find a good job, not having much of a future, sexual frustration with their inability to hook up with a woman, and quite a few of them actually being closeted about their orientation, as their search histories on their computers after getting arrested or killed in the battlefield were a bit contrary to what they officially claimed to be attracted to.
