What of I'm a man but I want to IDENTIFY as a gestating parent? No one can outrun the euphemism treadmill of reality

I hate this “gestating parents” thing. Women who adopt children are still mothers.

That's not who they're talking about then, since they didn't give birth to the child

Stop allowing pregnant non-citizens into the country based on the premise that they are committing medical fraud. Refused and banned for 2 years. That or charge them $500,000 at the entry point. Can't pay? Go home.

Actually what we need to do is make Birth tourism illegal, people that come here simply to give birth for citizenship, that's why i think the 18 year probation is a good deterrent for that kind of behavior
1 up, 2d
That's incredibly stupid and doesn't even make sense for a number of reasons. So a woman who's five months pregnant can't come here for a week on vacation? Are you going to give every woman a pregnancy test before letting them into this country? And you clearly don't understand what medical fraud means because if somebody's pregnant and they come here, even if it's to give birth in this country, that is not medical fraud.

we can also impose an 18 year probationary limit on any welfare for the illegal children, it would be a deterrent for those wanting to come here to have their puppies for a free ride.. still would follow the court ruling making them citizens.. but like how they did with gun rights, limit it and make them earn as a place as a citizen.

Dude, no one is coming here to give birth so that they can get on welfare and rot in a crime ridden slum because that is so much more preferable than staying home in their own country with their own extended family and their own culture and everything else they know.

If getting on welfare was the goal of those coming to give birth here, they couldn't afford to come here in the first place.

What is often cited when talking about the practice are the more affluent from farther abroad who want their expected babies to have US citizenship in case they want to come live here in the future for better opportunities or who knows what when it comes to people from the likes of China.

I disagree, I think a huge draw is the free handouts, the evidence is there to back me up as well. if what you say is true an 18 year probationary stall on welfare wouldn't be an issue then.

No that's just partisan hack propaganda.

Even to come in just from Mexico cost thousands of dollars, and nobody's doing that and working a couple of jobs way past overtime while living in a slum so that the next generation can collect a welfare check. It's neither logical nor cost efficient.

Coming here at all doesn't make sense, but what do you want from watching too much American movies and television shows, they think they're going to be living in Beverly Hills after a couple years of coming here.

Meanwhile, the ones that come here are too embarrassed to tell everyone back home that they're sleeping on a cot in a crowded apartment for $35 per 8 hours a day.

What I see, is thousands paying everything they have to cartels to get here, and be smuggled in illegally, then once they are here they go and get welfare, Sanctuary States like IL here.. have many allowances for illegals to get on state benefits. I can do a quick duckduckAI search and bring up the particular allowances if you want me to.. I like the AI searches cause they are fact based and not from bias news feeds..

I live in Immigrant City, USA, and I've never encountered an immigrant who informed me or anybody else that they were on welfare, let alone illegals. For some strange reason they don't tell me about their voting habits and how they're registered the Democratic Party and get ballots to send in for their dead grandmother back in Mexico.

In fact the only people I encountered in my life that I know for a fact were registered to the Democratic party are my parents, and I only know that from their mail. That's it. Same with Republicans. I've known a handful throughout my life who said they vote Republican or would register to be a Republican when they turned 18 (obviously we're talking about my high school years), but that's it. I've never hung out with anybody who pulled out there party membership card. I've never seen an illegal working in a store or busing tables pull out their EBT card to show me. And I speak Spanish. I went to actual Mexican stores to buy actual real Mexican food, not Taco Bell, I lived in the neighborhood with a massive Mexican population for 21 years, and never met one who admitted to being an illegal.

It's illegal for illegals to get Welfare. That's why you don't hear Donald Trump bragging about busting them. It's illegal for them to get EBT. Unfortunately, de Blasio did start a program offering them free medical care if needed, and the same is happening in California. Those are the only two places in the United States of America that I found that do that.

If you like AI searches, you'll just love ChatGPT. They'll tell you anything you want. You can ask them how many terms you yourself have served as president and how old were you when you wrote Let It Be, and it will tell you.

AI is programmed to please you. They will literally fabricate anything you want to please you.

There was a delightful incident here a couple of months ago in which one of the users blasted at 3 of us when she didn't believe us that Kristi Noem had a chapter on shooting her dog in her book. The user actually looked it up, and printed an AI search confirming what she said. She then tossed in a few colorful words describing us in the most unflattering terms possible and demanded that we apologize for spreading such slanderous rumors, and how sick she was of us.

The next day she returned and quietly posted that she had been misinformed by AI about the dog. She still hasn't apologized to us but has not taken down her comment.

I asked Duck Duck AI to find examples of SNAP Fraud, and it gave me this, Illinois SNAP benefit fraud / stolen-benefit problem (state reporting & tracking): CBS Chicago reported that Illinois legislation required the Illinois Department of Human Services to track SNAP-related fraud within the system, and from Oct. 2022–Dec. 2024 nearly $21 million was stolen through fraudulent transactions impacting 38,000+ households.

then I asked for named defendants in these cases with in Cook county, Yousef Abu Alhawa — grocery mart owner; admitted fraudulently redeeming SNAP (and WIC) benefits for non-eligible items/cash over years; sentenced to 42 months.

David Quinones — sentenced to 4 years 4 months for fraudulently obtaining about $1.55 million in SNAP; used recipients’ Link cards (EBT) by giving cash/items in exchange for access.

however, I went to dig deeper, but am only using the free version so my ability to continue my search has been paused until tomorrow.. I haven't seen DuckDuck AI give too much wrong info, in fact it was even giving me a hard time about a question I was asking, that was leading, I was testing it to see if it would simply agree with me, and it stuck to its fact based answer.

Hey, that's impressive, you got a whopping 2 whole entire cases of store owners allowing SNAP and WIC recipients to buy non-food items or even getting cash. What does that have to do with illegal aliens being granted Welfare and EBT? Couldn't you ask any of the thousands of illegal aliens you saw that are granted this these benefits in sanctuary cities for some proof?

TDLR summary: you are a Hispanic guy raised by democrats who thinks that illegal immigrants aren’t engaging in fraud.

Just because it’s illegal for them to get welfare doesn’t mean they aren’t. It’s illegal for them to be in this country, but they are.

its 50/50 some come to work and accept lower wages , don't understand their rights as workers in America, and get victimized by the businesses that bring them in, “El Norte” (1983) is a Movie based on what they go through being Illegal, on the other hand you have the welfare group that get bussed in by democrats to sanctuary cities and get immediately put on state sponsorship.

No, we had thousands of Venezuelans who were sent by de Santis from Texas to New York City and that were given the works by (former) Mayor Adams who is just too helpless to turn those buses around and send them to Florida like Mayor Bloomberg did during the Bush Recession when other states were sending the newly minted homeless to us.

One of the only two things Bloomberg did that I liked, and boy did I like that. He literally prevented anybody from taking a single step step off those buses, told the drivers to load up with gas if they needed it, and turn the fhuck around. It was beautiful. After a few weeks, they stopped. That's why California has so much more homelessness than we do, because they did not prevent those Southerners from getting off those buses.

DeSantis also sent them to other sanctuary cities. But New York City was a major Target. DeSantis is a Republican.

Yea I remember that, all of a sudden Blue cities didn't like the influx of thousands of illegals, though they were shouting to the border states to not be cruel and to let them in.. basically DeSantis and Texas Governor Abbott gave Liberals what they wanted.. and it turned out they didn't like the taste of their own bullshit..

never said it was a new concept, why add nonsense to try to make everything personal, we are talking about illegal immigration and the effect it has on a city when it is unchecked.. how to say "im losing an argument" by turning it into personal attacks.

I don't know what happened to me there, I set off on a rant for no reason, my bad.

Normally I'd look back at my comments later and then realize I overdid it so then I'd redo the comment, but I didn't get around to that. Not that that's an excuse, just that it isn't the first time I've done that.

Although there was no argument to lose her otherwise, as I don't do arguments, then I just post facts.

New York, New York, The Melting Pot of the United States, of Planet Earth in fact. One-third foreign born. One-third the American born children of the foreign born. One-third second generation or more American born descendants of the foreign born. Nearly everyone I knew growing up had at least one parent whose first language was not English, and it was usually two. We've had an influx of illegals since the place got dubbed New Amsterdam in 1624.

70% of all United States citizens have themselves or their ancestors entered the United States through New York City. 70% of the population of the United States of America.

From what I gather, Chicago, has more than it's fair share of immigrants. Foreigners are hardly a new concept for Chicago and New York City.

[[Redo of my original comment because that one I was being a bit of an itch and there was no reason for it. My bad]]

Are you seriously asking that question? Well Edith, let me tell you. First if you don't vette illegals coming in covertly you are not only letting in those poor souls you think are just wanting to cut our grass and do our gardening. You are also letting in gangs dealing with illegal drugs and contraband, terrorists out to gain intelligence, foreign actors that are out to do the same and any other groups that are out to do harm to the USA. Every other country controls their borders but why are you so intent on allowing only the USA's to be abused? Get a clue. What are you like 18 years old and naive as heck?
