yes, it is about Trump.
The pool is just a small scale version of what is so very wrong about Trump as President. He makes everything worse then blames someone else for what he did.
Here's what SHOULD have happened. The President says, "hey, the Reflecting pool is kinda gross. Sec of the Interior. Get that cleaned up."
Sec of the Interior: You bet!
Then the Sec gets the Park leadership in a room, tells them to get focused on that. They in turn get the experts together to correctly identify the problem. Identify some solutions. Create a budget and time line. Then present it to the Sec. Who then takes it to the President.
Who then gets Congress involved so there can be special funding to fix the problem. With funding approved, there's the contract process were an experienced contractor is hired to do that job.
The pool gets fixed.
But isn't what happens with Trump.
Trump declares there's a massive problem (caused by Obama/Biden/Democrats) that ONLY HE CAN FIX!!!
Then he points at someone he knows. Tells them how to "fix the problem". Hands them some money. Does this person have experience? No. They never do.
They f**k the project up. Because Trump and the crony have no idea what they're doing. They ignored any expert advice or input.
Trump declares victory.
The problem gets worse.
They try an easy fix. Because, again, they don't listen to people with experience. The problem gets WORSE.
Trump blames someone else for the problem.
It's like this every single time. It's the Iran War. It's Covid. It's literally everything he does.
