Safest big city in America, safer even than London.
in fact, per capita, New York City is safer than most smaller cities and towns and whatever else.

Here's an example, I'm still waiting for his replies:

Can statistics be massaged to make things look better than they are? Yes. Do we know that New York City has a history of Catch & Release that lead to repeated crimes or new crimes? Yes. Do we know that at least one the five District Attornies for New York City has a history of downgrading Felony Charges to lesser charges that would then skew Crime Rates? Yes.

When liars are in charge of a city and things like Crime Statistics - you cannot trust figures that state things are safer than they actually are.

If I, as a District Attorney, were to take every case of a Break In of an Automobile (where theft was involved) & only report them as vandalism - My Crime Rate for Theft could easily drop tons of points while my Crime Rate for Vandalism goes up. For considering something safer or not safer - my city will look safer because the Theft Crime Rate dropped 20 points. I can then Bragg about that statistic to the residents of my city.

No, we do not know that because you're making it up.

You're trying to take some tropes from California and superimpose them on New York.
It's not working.

Where do you live?

That's weird because according to PolitiFact... What I'm saying is exactly true.

Yeah, that's right, 50% of murders have been downgraded to shoplifting.

Give me a break with your fake news propaganda.

You still haven't told me where you live.

Now you're projecting (after being schooled on the subject). I never said murder charges - I said they downgraded felonies. Which is a historical fact.

Sorry Modda , you lose this round.

Are you having difficulty telling user names apart?
How many years do you have to be on this site to tell basic site functions?

It works like this:

Comments made by you are made by you.

Comments made by other users are made by other users.

You didn't say 50% of murder cases have been reduced to shoplifting, I did, that's why it's headed by my name and is in my comment.

Hope this clarifies things.

You still haven't told me where do you live, or does it not translate into Muh'Merican?

Nope. I'm responding to your responses.

Your initial response was that New York is one of the safest big cities etc etc. My response was to poke holes in your argument by showing that crime rates are skewed due to various reasons.

One reason I noted was Felonies being downgraded to lesser charges.

You then retorted that we don't know that because I was making it up. To which, I then provided you the proof of what I said - which shows I'm not making it up.

You then replied again - stating that half of murders got downgraded to shoplifting & then made a comment about Fake News Propaganda.

To which, I had to correct you - because I never noted anything about Murder being downgraded to Shoplifting. You brought completely different information into the debate - after getting schooled on the subject & being shown the truth of the matter.

And in terms of where I live - that's none of your business that I need to tell you that. Hope that clears up why I didn't tell you.

Something... Something... Takes sarcasm as literal.
Doesn't know where he lives because they left the name of the exit off the highway. Something like that

I never said I took your sarcasm as literal. I merely noted that I hadn't mentioned that & noted what I did say & got a dig about being schooled.

Also - the very first thing I said in that was "Now you're projecting..." which should have been your clue I was responding to your sarcasm... With sarcasm.

If your stance is that it's safe, why would you project stuff about murder? It doesn't make sense... However the statement makes perfect sense, if stated sarcastically.

In reference to my response after that - well, for whatever reason, you brought in basic site functionality as some kind of insult? I guess that is what it is supposed to be - and took it further, because you couldn't detect sarcasm.

To which, I had to flatly keep in character and give an explanation of things up to that point, step by step... & To which I have to do again, because you're still trying to find a way to think you came out on top. Which you didn't.

This is still going on?

That's an awful long way to say St petersburg.

What do you even mean still going? The only person still going is you... You can't accept the L , so you keep coming back for more - just to get another L

Give it up, it's ok that you were wrong about this one.
