The bulk are in cities because the bulk of people are in cities. The bulk of real estate purchases are in cities. The bulk of people filling their tanks up with gasoline are in cities. The bulk of people who buy Lego sets for their children are in cities. The bulk of poor people are in cities. The bulk of rich people are in cities. That's what makes them cities, a higher density of everything.
The highest rates in per capita violent crime, however, are not in cities, they're in Red States, in rural areas in Red States. That's why movies about everything from the grizzliest crimes to horror take place in those areas. I can't state the stereotypes that they refer to without getting a timer for saying it again, but then again, I don't have to state what everybody already knows only too well. That's how bad it is.
