The name Bushart would have sufficed. Your meme was ambiguous, so I sought clarification.
TURNS OUT, seems PERRY CLEAR TO THE LOCAL SHERIFF:
it wasn't just that the message he posted had a little more read into it understandably..
.
Maybe he didn't mean to make it sound like a threat to a local school in his area, yet others took it that way and turned him in, and their sheriff sided on agreeing that the speech could be taken as a local new threat to children, teachers, administrators, secretaries, librarians, and bus drivers at the school. The Free Speech Had nothing to do with the Utah death of Kirk, except timing..
So, your meme says hey, it's okay to make what appears to be a veiled threat to children in your local community, to piggy back off the death of a person several states away, that used free speech regularly and championed it on local college campuses. Kinda weird.
"The quote was part of a message of condolence the president made in 2024, shortly after a school shooting in Perry, Iowa. The day after Bushart shared the meme, officers came to his home and arrested him for "threatening mass violence at a school".
Perry County (Tennessee) Sheriff Nick Weems told US media at the time that residents were alarmed by the post as there was an area school that went by the same name as the Iowa school."
