You are comparing apples to potatoes nevermind oranges. No one is advocating for actual Marxist socialism where mass starvation happened. People are advocating for the struggling poor to not be left in the lurch and America to have policies similar to Norway, Denmark and Finland where there is next to no starvation. Also Finland even left the totalitarian USSR to become its own free nation. You claim to care about people when they are starving in socialist countries but you don't care when people are starving in predatory capitalist America all for partisan political reasons.
