Thanks to democrats and President Carter the airline industry was deregulated. That helped the industry by significantly lowering average fares and expanding air travel, transforming it from a luxury service into a mass-market service.
Warren did the airline industry a favor. Airline mergers cause the loss of many jobs.
I went through the Northwest Airlines/Delta Air Lines merger. Luckily I was able to take an early out offer and can now fly anywhere Delta flies for free with lifetime flight benefits.
This merger created many duplicate job roles. The first thing Delta did after the merger was to eliminate all those duplicate positions. Many jobs were moved from the Twin Cities, Minnesota to Atlanta, Georgia.
Ignore anyone that speaks as if they know about airline mergers. They should stick to politics if they don't want to appear ignorant, since they know nothing about the airline industry.
