And yet Demorhhoids weren't satisfied with just worshipping Dingle Barry as just their Secular Saviour.

Yeah but. . .aren't popes supposed to be the direct replacement if not equal to Jesus Christ. . .unlike what the Scriptures state in which all believers are to be 'ambassadors for Jesus Christ'. It's no different for how it works on this planet - people are selected by a county's leader to represent the leader/country when the leader is not directly present.

Only for Catholics. Real Christians know that the priest was replaced with the holy spirit.

Tell that to Jesus and Simon Peter, especially hand selected for what again? And that's despite getting betrayed by the freaking guy. Three times. Cock-a-doodle-doo, Peter's in charge of the church too.

What the verse actually says-

Mat 16:18 - And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Nowhere does it say Jesus put Peter in charge of His Church.

It does. Right there.

But you're going by the Protestant view, so I understand what you're coming from, only a bit way too late.

It goes something like this:
Judeans > Jesus followers > Jewish Jesus sect > Roman Jesus sect > Roman Catholic > Roman Catholic and Orthodox split...

During all that time not only did Protestants not exist, the Germans who created Protestantism didn't exist either. Well they did, but from historical perspective, they didn't. They were just some wild woolly barbarians over in the hinterlands still wearing bear skins and fighting each other over caves. Literally.

They were so wild, it literally took the Romans 1,000 years to conquer and domesticate them.

Then about four centuries ago or so, some Martin Luther guy came and said Catholicism don't count.

Sorry, but some Johnny come lately from four centuries ago doesn't get to tell Jesus what Jesus said 1600 years after he said it. 1600 years after he said it. The Germans were about as far away from Jews and Jesus & Co as anyone can get. In fact the farthest, as Hitler would gladly tell you.

Catholics wrote the Bible, Protestants said that they ain't going to recognize the Pope's authority anymore. Well isn't that a tragedy.

But at least Trump, Vance, and Hegseth can do what they say and want with impunity, because they're Germans, and they have zero connection to anything even remotely Biblical. Unless you actually believe that Revelations was supposed to be in the far distant future and in this case they might be it come true.

That's not what it means. Jesus said, 'foundation', not 'the leader of the whole Church'."

⬛ Aww, come on, got to go along with the story, it's second in brilliance only to Saul/Paul, assassin of Christians.

It goes something like this:

So once upon a time Peter betrays Jesus three times in one night before the cock crows, just like Jesus said he would, and then after everything was said done and the dust cleared and some guy who didn't even look like Jesus but claimed he was his zombie says, later boys... And then the day after Peter says to the rest of the gang, "No, no, you guys don't understand, we talked it out, he said all is forgiven, and he put me in charge. So I'm in charge now, I'm the leader."

That is some bonafide takeover. Luv it.

And then Saul/Paul, killer of Christians did the similar thing some years later except he never met any of them just killed them and replaced Peter and James in their feuding churches. So conniving, his story has just got to be true, Paul may have actually existed. For real real.

It's brilliant. If you can't beat them, make them join you.
And thus the anti-christ Saul corrupted the Word and and so the Beast came to sit in Rome, prophecy fulfilled. It wasn't called Roman Catholic by accident. They're literally flaunting it.

No. 4 historical accounts say it was Jesus and that everyone recognized him including his mom, except one guy that didn't believe him because he was supposed to be dead. Many people were there when Jesus gave them their final orders.

Saul/Paul was blinded and taken in by a believer that was cautious at first, but then after some time he came to realize Paul was really changed by Jesus confronting him and asking why he persecuted him. Paul then went on to preach his knowledge of the Bible at various churches helping them to understand what Jesus said from the perspective of the old testament.

Its like you want to lie about Christianity and the Bible rather than come up with real issues.
You should question why this is.

There are absolutely no historical accounts of Jesus.

Nobody recognized him, he looked like a.... different person.

The Doubting Thomas myth is exactly that, a myth. Would happened was that the rest of them first encountered Jesus and couldn't recognize him, then they got convinced that he was Jesus, only for Thomas to appear later on and have to go through the process himself.

Saul/Paul Romanized Christianity, recreating it to fit a Roman agenda. He basically birthed the Catholic Church. Yes, he's the one you referred to. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, you were right? Saul/Paul is the anti-christ who corrupted the early sect, which originally, believe it or not, was a Jewish one. Seriously, you can look it up, the earliest followers of Jesus were Jewish.
