And Merrick Garland wanted to keep the DOJ free from anything that could seem like political leaning (despite the fact that his Supreme Court nomination was denied through political leaning). It wasn't suppression per se like we're seeing now with Congress demanding the release and the DOJ redacting, deleting, and selecting the files to release.

Hell Octavia, he had the Epstein files for four years and suppressed all those thousands of pages that directly implicate Trump. If he wasn't half dead already, your side would want to put Bribe'em on trial for being a Trump sycophant.

Biden did not have those thousands Epstein Files™ pages. The DOJ did. That's the Department of Justice to you and me. They're a separate independently functioning body. Whatever materials and evidence involving Epstein were part of an ongoing investigation. Once that was wrapped up, on January 4th 2024, the Epstein Flight Log List™ list was released. That's the last year of Biden's term. He was president during the full length of 2024.
