The absolute funniest counterexample to this unsupported point is the conviction of corrupt Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was then pardoned by corruption-loving swamp thing Donald Trump.

Was he convicted today? No, it was in a much different political reality. Trump pardoning him is a head- scratcher to all of us.
