It's so she can tell left and right apart because she's dyslexic and cannot.
I used to have a lump of a callus on my middle finger because I used to hold my pencil wrong when I was a kid. To this day, before I say something is on the right or left side, I automatically rub my pointer and middle finger together because that callus was how I would make sure I'm getting right correct. I'm not dyslexic but I have some sort of spatial interpretation thingy that I have to be tested for but never was because it's pretty mild. I also have problems with spelling, mixing letters up, I have to constantly double check to make sure I didn't make any spelling errors. When crossing the street, I even confused which side says red and which says green at an intersection sometimes. It's very strange but it happens, especially when I'm in a rush.
Nobody got Land R tattoos on their hands because they're Liberals.
Good grief, think about these things sometimes. If it doesn't make sense, it probably doesn't.
