Excellent point, it explains why Israel and Judea were ethno/religious states pretty much devoid of other peoples, just as they wish to be today.
I know, I know, then Jesus came along and the Jews did not recognize him as their messiah because he was not a messiah and did nothing messianic, so therefore the Romans adopted him four centuries later as their lord and therefore these Roman pagan anti-christs who corrupted The Word now own it and thus the Jews do not matter anymore so all scripture regarding them has been effectively voided. Except for the Adam and Eve story in that line in Leviticus about laying men laying with males. Other than that, nothing in the Old Testament counts, so whatever happened back in the day has been officially negated.
Plus since the persecution of the Judeans that Jesus as messiah was supposed to prevent but never did, the Jews did not wipe out other people as they were scattered throughout Europe and otherlands. Not that the fact that they were the ones getting wiped out by Christians has anything to do with that, but hey, you don't get to make Christianity the biggest religion on Planet Earth by having missionaries invite people to Sunday mass. Suffer a witch to die, because burning at the stake is rather effective.
