Yes, there a lot of Muslims who can and have assimilated into the western culture. But what you must understand, they are not living their religion to the fullest.

The Quran commands Muslims to kill the unbelievers. Not just one place but several places. It specifically mentions "the people of the book" who are Jews and Christians. In one place the Muslim is given the choice of taxing or killing them. But then in other places Muslims are commanded to exterminate every Jew on the planet.

You can't imagine that the Quran's violent words were equally affected by the historical circumstances around its creation? It sounds rather like you're saying that for SOME religions, we can take their violent scriptures with a grain of salt, while others should be considered murderous because some of the scripture is violent.

Without violence in the Bible you have no point, therefore, you hang on to it even though that violence ended over 6,000 years ago and God has commanded that there should be no violence of that kind or any other kind. But still you must hang on to that with all your strength.

The fact is NO ONE is being threatened by Christians or Jews. Neither religion is actively trying force people into their religions at the point of death.

ONLY Islam does that.

Let go of ancient history. All of the world was a much, much, much more violent place 6,000 years ago.

Even in the Bible there is history of violence against the Jews. They were slaves to the Egyptians. Taken over and enslaved by Assyria. Taken over by Babylon and then the Romans.

And then there's violence that the Jews did to each other. Israel was divided into two kingdoms because some tribes didn't get along with other tribes.
