But I mean... can she actually start arresting people who obviously have mountains of evidence against them? People who have already been recorded breaking the law? Is that too much to ask?

Releasing all these files and documents still doesn't mean anything if nobody powerful (or nobody at all) faces justice.

I hope you are sincere with your questions. I don't claim to know the answers, but consider these things. Has the Statue of Limitations passed on these crimes? This is an important part of Due Process. With excessive passage of time, it becomes impossible for a person to defend themselves if they are innocent. Witnesses who may prove innocence could have passed away. Memory becomes less clear. Documentation is lost or discarded. For true justice, there has to be a reasonable ability to present innocence to counter implied guilt. Put yourself in the position of accusations from 20 years ago, is it too much to ask for the presumption of innocence until found guilty? I'm not saying there was no crime committed, but this is how our legal system works- it's the best that mankind has been able to produce, even with it's potential flaws.
What about the humiliation of being exposed from what you thought was your little secret alone, now that Epstein is dead? That may be the only "prosecution" these people can face in the light of due process. My faith assures me that we are accountable to a Higher Power, even if mankind can't enforce it. You may believe differently, that is your right. Might is not right, and right has no might when it should have. This is tragically one of those situations. Let's be merciful to these victims and redouble our efforts to prevent predators from ever doing this sort of thing again.

Lots of these crimes I can think of off the top of my head have occurred within the past seven years.

Believe in a higher power who will dole out judgements eventually all you want. We are also supposed to help ourselves as much as we can before praying to God to help.

Epstein was taken into custody on July 6, 2019, so that 7 year limitation is coming soon, but all crimes he committed before February 14th 2019 have passed that limit, if that is the law. Again I don't know for certain what the statute is for these crimes.
With the focus on his deviancy, attention is diverted from his drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering, fraud and other serious crimes. He was the epitome of evil and attracted a lot of similarly evil people. If you're a person of faith, I would recommend praying to God for help first, then doing all you can. That order of priorities is more in line with scripture. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I had a little extra time to check this out. On the Federal level there is no limitation on child trafficking, etc. States each set their own limitations, seems some limit at 5 years, others 10 years, it varies. It seems that Federal charges could be brought in many of these cases, but it's important to remember that the burden of proof is much different in courts of law than what Hollywood presents. To our eyes, this may appear to be open and shut cases, courts don't see it the same way.
While these things are very serious offenses, Epstein was involved in much more, for example, in the recent document dump it looks like Epstein and Bill Gates were in on the pandemic scandal and conspiring. Millions dead, or thousands trafficked, which will any administration prosecute? My money is on neither. Like this meme has listed, no administration dealt with this, it's not just a "Trump" issue.
