I'm not right or left but what I do know is that the government doesn't really own the oil in America and it's the companies and permits, and mineral holders that own the oil. I guess better start purchasing that oil rich property in Venezuela before they start drilling..... That's the truth.

The government facilitates the flow of oil. Assuring energy production, transportation, and commerce. They are also buyers themselves. Example assuring an ample supply of oil and fuel for our Military needs.

Biden auto-pen executed orders hinder much of oil production. Hence high fuel cost.

President Trump is creating more oil while hindering Russia forever war.

So why can't a mineral owner drill and sell all their oil depending on the market rates, and have to rely on a permit and go from the government?

We deal with this concept of holding grain and selling when the price is high, let alone most cash crops in America are turned into biofuels. I guess the question would be a matter of who owns the oil in Venezuela... Is it their government, or their citizens who own the lands? ... I assume it's like America because of its democracy, yet it's gone through lots of diplomatic changes, idk.

President Trump had a meeting with Oil Executives a week prior.

They obviously have big plans for the oil. Most likely cheaper to buy from Venezuela (and keep them afloat) then to pump our own supply.

Should lower prices for the short run. Trump may be thinking it’s a good strategy for the upcoming midterms.

Kind of a win win.

Maybe it's the reality taught in science, that resources are not unlimited, especially non renuable dinosauric oil. And maybe the strategy is to put of drilling in America because everyone else is drying up, but not saying anything about it.
