You yourself said about AI trying to learn how to seem human, how to sound human. Perhaps it is not always necessary for all of them to be restricted to being so overtly fake.
Being a cartoonish caricature is about as effective as a kindergartener giving his mommy a diamond made out of a Saran Wrap which he made in arts & crafts class. Our colleagues can't help but give themselves away. The only question is if they're a foreign shill LARPing as an American or a foreign AI bot.
Saying that somehow you're not a part of this partisan ping pong dance doesn't mean that you are not. The fact that you keep highlighting the difference is doing exactly what you claim you are not doing. The Leftist this, the MAGA that... How is that not supposed to be playing up political divisiveness when it's demarcating everything as such?
It's like News Nation. I love that shit. I'm limited to what major news channels I have, so it's that or Fox (and I only watch Fox on Election night). They keep repeating how non-partisan they are while constantly framing everything as left or right. Seriously, every other sentence has Leftist or MAGA in it.
When somebody disagrees with your narrative of the minute, you start referring to them as such-and-such account. Somehow they're supposed to be a bot because they're stepping outside of your box. How is that supposed to make sense? Somebody acting independently of your world view, and that somehow makes them a bot because it doesn't suit you. Does this make sense? Yes it does. To you. It's like in one of the Star Trek (the original series) episodes where they tilt the master computer or robot by asking it a question that does not compute and thus confuses it to the point that its fuses blow.
AI bots are neutral. They're bots, none of this means anything to them. Their perspectives are simply chosen to play a role, a script.
