So, you are saying the Lord hated his own Mother while He was on the cross ? Odd idea.
0 ups, 2d
If you read the books and how many times Jesus got impatient with his mom which is a lot considering the small amount of material in which Jesus is actually portrayed. How many times he addressed her as "woman." Telling his mother that his true family were his disciples, and so on.

No He didn't. Try reading the Bible. Jews falsely convicted Jesus, a Jew, Romans executed Jesus, a Jew. Sinners "killed" Jesus a Jew to atone for our sins, just as God prophesied through the Jewish nation. God has not turned His back on Israel, the only Jewish nation, Jesus does not hate the Jews, He hates sin. Bad doctrine is avoidable and inexcusable in this day and age. If you don't really know Jesus, I would recommend finding a Bible teaching church and getting to know the real Jew called Jesus.

No, as the relationship was the reverse. Herod was a puppet acting on the behalf Pontius Pilate who in turn was acting on behalf of the Roman Empire.

When Jesus said, "Lord forgive them for they know not what they do" he was clearly talking about the Romans. The Jews absolutely knew what they were doing and had been plotting his death since he committed the inexcusable "sin" of healing someone on a Saturday. Did your memory slip on that part?

You are confused. The religious leaders were self serving legalists. The Sadducees, who ran the trials against Jesus were atheists. They didn't believe in angels or the resurrection. They did believe in money and power. Try reading again for context. Then read what Paul said in Romans 8-11.
Jesus had little use for hypocrites, look at how He spoke to the religious leaders. All of the early church were Jews. You can't become an un-Jew, just as you can't become un-German or un-Navaho, or any other ethnic origin.

Jesus had enough of the Pharisees who were Jews and rightfully blamed them for his death. I'm not saying he became an un-Jew but his death should've ended all Jews for good.

No, read Romans Ch 8-11, God made unconditional promises with the nation of Israel. If he revokes those covenant promises, he could revoke His promise to Christians. On Allah changes for fickle and arbitrary reasons, God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow for a reason. He is faithful to His word.
0 ups, 1d
Well that sucks for the nation of Israel, which fell in 722 BC to the Assyrians.

No God made any promise to Christians.

When the Jews' hearts were hardened against Christ, the vicar spilled over on to the gentiles and god created a New Covenant thus giving up on the Jews finally who were so wicked and so awful.

I think you have a typo with the word vicar, vicars are man made creations not found in the scriptures. I get the feeling that telling you what the Bible says is not the most effective way to show you what the Bible says. The New Covenant is a part of God's plan to restore fallen man to a right relationship with God. I mentioned several chapters in Romans, here are some verses that may pique your interest. Romans 9:27 NKJV "Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved."
Rom 10:9 NKJV"... that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (This applies to everyone, jew and gentile alike).
Rom 11:26 NKJV "And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;"
Israel always had a rocky relationship with God, but they are no more wicked than any other human being. Sin is sin, there are no degrees of sin as Jesus made clear, just think about adultery and you are guilty- you are a sinner in need of a savior. God laid out the plan for restoration from Genesis to Revelation and executed His plan on His timeline, using Israel as the sole source of salvation. If the savior would have come out of China, skeptics could make all kinds of claims, but God chose 1 tribe to target His prophetic promises on.
Deuteronomy 7:6-11 NKJV "For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 "The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 "but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 "Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; 10 "and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. 11 "Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.

I recommended a Bible app, use whatever you prefer, this wording is from the New King James, you may need to search for a different wording based on these verses- Acts 10:35 NKJV - 35 "But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.
Revelation 14:6 NKJV - 6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people--
Rev 5:9 NKJV - 9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
Rev 13:7 NKJV - 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
Every nation tongue tribe and people pretty much takes in everyone on earth, Israel is not excluded, in fact as noted above, God keeps His covenants (promises), there are unconditional promises, given to the descendants of Abraham and King David. There are conditional covenants as well, do this and you will be blessed types. If God discards His unconditional covenants with Israel, then none of us can trust Him at His word. What kind of salvation is that?
Beside these things, there are numerous prophecies regarding Israel that have yet to be fulfilled to complete redemption and restoration of mankind (some call them End Times). There are 109 specific prophecies regarding Jesus first advent, cited in over 300 verses- recall the principle of witnesses. There are over 2000 End Times prophecies in which Israel is central to the fulfillment. These times are called "The Coming Day," "The Time of Jacob's Trouble" as specifically regard Israel's judgment. In fact the recent Gaza war was foretold in the Psalms. The coming Ezekiel war names every nation that will come at Israel, and every nation that will stand on the sidelines- these sideliners are the nations of the Abraham Accords! God says Isa 42:9 NKJV "Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Because you're making stuff up, that means you're bearing false witness. And fabricating. Against Yahweh's Chosen people, no less.

With only 144,000 Sainted Chosen (that's Jews) to enter the Pearly Gates plus a few Gentiles judged on the goodness of their works, I'm afraid banking on a spot on the waiting list might not exactly prove to be the most useful endeavor at this point. But don't let that stop you.

Modda, thank you so much for exposing your complete ignorance. Now all the BS you post is explained by the fact you are probably borderline illiterate and uneducated. Keep reading, the 144,000 are Jewish witnesses and the armies of heaven who accompany Jesus in Rev 19 are far more than 144,000 Sainted Chosen people. That's a lot for you to think about, so I'll stop there.

Of course. Which is exactly what happened almost two millennia ago, as Jesus promised? Fine job of booting the Romans out of Judea he did.

Which reminds me, did you look up that chapter in your past when you were drilling for oil for the reason why oil has a curious tendency to be found where crustal plates meet or not yet?

The Jews are going to be witnesses as they escort Roman pagan anti-christs to heaven? Really?

Magnuson, keep in mind the early church was completely made up of "the Jews" who recognized their Messiah. Prophecy told centuries in advance that Israel in general would reject the Messiah, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea were both members of the Sanhedrin, which was the Jewish body that convicted Jesus of false crimes. Both contested the accusations against Jesus but were dimissed by the leadership. As you know, the Sanhedrin couldn't get two witnesses to agree. The High Priest declared Jesus was blasphemous when Jesus said He was the Son of God, then the High Priest broke Levitical law when he tore his clothes in rage.
I think you have been persuaded by replacement theology, the mistaken belief that Israel was replaced by the church. This doctrine crept into the early catholic church and has grown in the denominational churches, but isn't supported by scripture. Israel is still very much God's chosen people- that of course doesn't mean they are perfect, just like us, but they will not be forsaken by God. Scripturally Israel is betrothed to God, the church is the bride of Christ.
FYI, I have been a pastor- you have so much right doctrinally, but you've gotten some bad doctrine mixed into your understanding, like too many faithful people. Keep seeking the truth, t will be revealed to you. God promises that to the diligent who seek Him.

Jesus did not do one Messianic thing in his lifetime, nor in his death as zombie Jesus was supposed to fulfill all that that living Jesus didn't get around to.

There was no Israel at the time. 722 BC was kind of a long time ago even back then.

I'll keep it brief. Mat 12:32 NKJV - 32 "Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. (Blasphemy is to speak against, reject. You can curse Jesus and it can be forgiven, but the work of the Holy Spirit is to spread the Gospel (Good News) and to indwell believers with their permission. If you reject the work of the Holy Spirit you reject Christ and that is the only thing that condemns a person, rejecting Jesus Christ.
Mat 28:19 NKJV - 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mar 3:29 NKJV - 29 "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"--
Luke 2:25-26 NKJV - 25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
Luke 3:16 NKJV - 16 John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Luke 11:13 NKJV - 13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"
John 14:26 NKJV - 26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 20:22 NKJV - 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:2 NKJV - 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,..."
You have learned bad doctrine- forget your church and read the Bible for yourself, the doctrines of men is what got Israel in trouble- God uses them as an example.
0 ups, 12h,

The Trinity is in the Bible- reason enough to believe. Does believing in a trinity affect your salvation? No. Don't get stuck there trying to understand. Be merciful, be forgiving, love others as Jesus loves you, don't use a manmade standard to judge others, or you will be measured by the same standard- nobody wants that. Be Christlike to the best of your ability= forgiveness in Greek means ERASE FROM MEMORY. Forgive the Jews just like you expect to be forgiven and you are on solid ground. If you hang to this bad doctrine there are consequences.
The Seven Letters to the Seven Churches in Rev 2 and 3 speak to specific churches of the times, but they are also an outline of the history of the church. There are 2 churches Jesus had nothing bad to say about them, Sardis, the persecuted early church and Philadelphia- the evangelical church. There are 2 Jesus had nothing good to say about, the denominational churches are one of them. Read and figure out who the second church is.

I'll reason with you. Father, son, holy spirit. To most Christians they form up like voltron and make up one without it making sense. How many people have you met that are their own sons. How many fathers do you know that are their own sons? How many sons do you know that are their own fathers?

Did they? Here;s one for the funziez: look up Barabbas's real name, including his first. Find out what it translates into in English. Then look up what crime he was arrested and tried for.

It's an interesting coincidence, don't you think? A true two-fer

You're right, Pontius Pilate bowed to his Jewish minions and saved Barabbas. And that was how it came to be that Jesus was never hung on the cross. The original miracle.

Since of course you weren't going to look it up, I'll break it down for you.

Barabbas is a corruption of bar Abba. Bar Abba means son of the father.
His first name was Yeshua. So Barabbas's real name was Yeshua bar Abba. Joshua son of the Father, or as some may have wrongly translated like they did for another Yeshua we all know and love, Yeshua bar Abba can also translated (albeit erroneously) into Jesus son of the Father.

Not to be confused with Jesus son of God the Father, who like bar Abba was arrested for sedition against the Roman Empire and convicted and sentenced to die on the cross for it.

Two men
Same name
Same crime
Same time of arrest
Same judge
Same conviction
Same sentence

Jesus was never hung on the cross.

There you go. Now you're onto something.

But also now you have another equation to figure out, why was Barabbas's name altered and his first name dropped? Oh, that's right, to avoid confusion with someone else who had practically the same name and committed the same crime and was also sentenced to die.

But, like you said, at the command all the restive natives in the Jewish province, the great Roman Empire bowed to them and let him go. And he lived happily ever after.

They did not commit the same crime, either. Barrabas was a murderer. Jesus murdered no one.
0 ups, 1d
Ahh, that's right, so one Jesus killed a Roman soldier as part of his sedition against Rome, and the other Jesus had a friend who cut off the ear of a Roman soldier as part of his sedition against Rome.

Thank you, I stand so corrected. Since both guys have the same name and committed similar crimes, you understand sometimes it's easy to mix them up.
1 up, 1d
Jesus healed the Roman whose ear was cut off. What makes those easy to mix up, exactly?
0 ups, 1d,

Whoops, you made a huge mistake. His name wasn't Barabba which would translate son of the father, it was Barabbas which translates son of shame, confusion. You see that "s" makes a difference. I'm shocked, you claim you know everything, but you don't even know that you have to look at the whole picture not cherry pick to suit your agenda. Of course, as a know it all you know that. Or not.
You know Josephus was a self serving traitor right?
Different names, different crimes, different times of arrest, different judges, different convictions (because one was a crime against Rome, the other against Jewish law), same sentence, but the guilty walked free because the innocent took his punishment. It's the Gospel story, but then you already know all of that.

Saul/Paul, the anti-christ, the corruptor of the Word, The jackal who would steal the religion of Yahweh's Chosen and change it beyond recognition?

Some contend that he invented Christianity, others say that given how he was so against the original Church and then later alter it would indicate that it must have existed prior to his taking it over. That makes sense. Regardless, either way, he's a corruptor of the Word, an anti-christ.

I use the Blue Letter Bible for word searches. Look up the Holy Spirit in a word search in your preferred version of the Bible. The Trinity can be confusing, but it's scriptural. Think of yourself as a type of trinity- mind, body and soul- three unique, distinct and separate qualities. God has the same qualities- we are made in His image. In Levitical Law no one could be condemned to death on the testimony of one witness, only on the testimony of 2 or more witnesses. The Holy Spirit and eternal Jesus Christ are two witnesses testifying to the truth of God from eternity past to the present to eternity future. (Another type of trinity). God provided witnesses. Only 3 angels are named in the Bible, Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer. Lucifer can testify all day long against us as our accuser, but his is only one witness. Gabriel, Michael and the Holy Spirit testify before God whether you have accepted the covering blood of Jesus Christ. Churches are corrupted by the doctrines of men, I recommend being more like the Bereans, hear a message gladly, then carefully check it against scripture. It is definitely worth the effort.
