We probably agree on a lot of issues but I think you got this wrong. The anologies doesn't align. Marriage is different in some major ways and I think they are significant enough that you would be better off using another analogy - like the feeding of illegals with our tax dollars or the Welfare state in general. Or even the size of government. The point behind this seems a little ambigious. It's definitly a great "mind puzzle" though as I like to look at arguments for and against all sides and I argue against abortion and for marriage. I try to look at my own arguments and if they have weaknesses in them and where. This one I'm admittantly wrestling with the arguments within and what you are arguing for - or against.

Or it's simply making the point that calling a fetus a parasite is equally as offensive and dehumanizing as calling a woman a parasite.

That’s fair

Alone in peaceful solitude is not the same as loneliness. Besides, men aren't the ones who can't handle loneliness, and that's why women are panicking now and trying desperately to shame men back into the trap of marriage.

Yes.

You meet a woman, what is the second question they always ask?

What is the number one cause of divorce in the US?

Marriage is the number one cause of divorce

Actually it's economic.
Hubby loses his job, wife ditches him.
For real, I'm not kidding.

Actually its listed as "dissatisfaction" but some studies say its when the eoman gets bored. They just use finances as an excuse.

The thing is most women already are bored, as their primary concern with a partner is his income. Once he loses his job, she has no reason to stay with him unless he can get another job before she decides to leave him.

hahaha, there was a house across the street here and the couple was about to get divorced, but then the 2008 Great Recession happened, and the value of the house went down somewhat. So they stayed together till the economy got better and the value of the house went back up. Then they sold it and got divorced.

Ah, true romance

Yeah, the traditional reasons for marriage are gone, so all relationships and children births have gone way down.

"Yeah, that's true in a lot of cases, but it's not because they need the money. It's because of leftover biological imperatives, that they can't reconcile with their independence and ability to make money themselves.

Derivative of biological imperatives, as is the whole attracted to bad boys thing and everything else shaped by women's hypothalamus-generated psychology and poor decision making skills.

The traditional reason for marriage is nowhere near gone. No matter how well-off the woman may be, the more well-off the man she chooses to marry has to be. Once he falls below that level, she divorces him.

The second question women always ask men when they meet them after asking what their name is is, "So what do you do?"

My answer "I do interesting things that change the world".

There was a period when I was in college but jobless, and when I met women and they asked what do I do and I would tell them that I had gone back to finish up school, that was it, over, they would make an excuse to politely exit the conversation.

But then I started saying as a goof with a wiseguy accent, "eh, I do a little bit of this, a little bit of that" they would keep talking to me. And after a period of time going out with some of them, they would tell me, "Don't take this the wrong way, but when you said you do a little bit of this and a little bit of that, I thought that you were a drug dealer." And I'd say to them, "So you went out with me thinking that I might be a drug dealer, like that's no problem?"

So when I told them I was in school so that maybe I can go do something to hopefully help improve my life, they weren't interested. But when they thought I was dealing drugs, no problem to them. As long as I had some sort of income, that's all they cared about.

What I was going to use but never got around to, was "I'm a Demographics Analysis Specialist" because I was interested in different kinds of people and cultures and personalities and all that yada yada...

Nah, they like dangerous men. I might start telling them I sell drugs just to get past the gate.

Yeah, but the attraction wasn't what they figured was drug use, it was what they guessed was drug dealing. As a job.

It's all about the money. When you're younger, that's not so much it is a big factor. But once you get into your twenties, job and what kind of car the guy has is all they care about.

I’d argue more financial stability than flaunting your wealth and other traits.

Does he cook?
Does he read?
Is he a good man?

Gosh, who would thunk me growing up ugly woulda had its benefits.

Here's what matters to women:

Face
Height
Car
Money

The order reverses as they get older.

Ever notice when talking to females about their favorite music or movie stars they always qualify it by saying how good looking so-and-so is? Yeah, that. Women are so shallow, they make gauze feel jealous.

It’s funny actually, before I was always ridiculed on my hair being out of date or whatever and not having modern but after I’ve worked on myself and started working out the comments go away.

I proved to myself I didn’t need to change the hair but gain more confidence muscle and brains then before so the same woman that commented about me come up to me and actually talk to me.
