Yeah, but what about taking money out from a cash machine? Or using your card anywhere? The bank knows where you are. Unless you take out a ton of cash to last months and try to go off the radar.
Ever watched this show?

It's wild how hard it is to avoid detection in the modern world. Most people get caught within days despite their best efforts to evade the detectives.
Use public transport: you're tracked. Have to find another way to get around that leaves no trace or footprints. (Ride your horse through the river to avoid leaving tracks.)
Withdraw cash or pay by card anywhere: you're tracked and can be apprehended easily.
Use your phone: your whole life is tracked. Even crazier: apparently it's sometimes possible to track phones *even when switched off* because they still emit a signal (ikr?). Only safe way is leave it behind. Bury it in the back yard lol. Or get a Nokia brick, I suppose.
YMMV ofc coz some countries have CCTV on every street corner like the UK so you're basically tracked everywhere you walk if you're in a big city and can be caught very easily, while others don't and just rely on the local grandma to function as neighborhood watch.
But it really makes you think. The fact that people offered a huge cash reward to go off radar can barely manage a few weeks before getting caught is kinda crazy.
Also, I'm guessing you're not a fan of crypto then? Gold doubloons under the bed?
