Considering Trump literally threatened to withdraw federal funding from the entire state of New York if Mamdani won, that’s actually a very reasonable conclusion to have.

Now that shut down has lasted long enough to adversely affect the economy. It won't ever occur to them that this shutdown is happening 100% in the Senate. There is absolutely nothing that Trump can do because the executive branch has no power over the legislative branch and vice versa.
