ER's can't refuse people, illegals get treated, (they don't actually HAVE a Medicade card), but the Fed picks up the shortfall along with the state.

And THAT is how "we" are paying for their healthcare.

They still get a bill and usually if they can't pay, then they can apply for charity, and if they don't qualify then set up a payment plan, or if failure to make monthly payments occurs, and no pre dated insurance claims through Medicade happens, then they can go to collections, and then file bankruptcy, or just rack up a bunch of consumer medical debt and flee the country. Either way at least they have the opportunity to flee from debt unlike most American citizens.

Then why were dhhs workers required to report illegal immigrant applications for Medicaid? The loup hole was for those aliens to get a employer sponsorship that lined the pockets of the corporate monster, and opened the door wide for illegal immigrant access to state and federal supplemental benefits, all while fast tracking them into a green card status and getting them one step closer to citizenship.
