It doesn’t even have to be the same ethnic group; I just think some cultures are more compatible than others. For instance, Syrians in general are gonna have more in common with Greeks than with Swedes, and in Syrian Christians are more similar to Greeks than Syrian Muslims in turn.

To be fair, I can’t help it if I was born here and don’t have the means to just leave whenever I want to. I just have scorn for people who have the means to move somewhere they like and do the opposite anyway.

Your statement here is just evidence that you can't read for context. It's a skill you learn AFTER 6th grade. You're going to have to struggle until you get it if you wanna learn the skill - like everyone else did around 6th grade. In fact, I just helped my daughter do this and SHE can do it now. She's 11. It must be a bit embarrassing to know a pre-teen girl can read circles around you but don't let that detract you from trying to become better. Education is a GOOD thing - and this lesson was free.

I’m just saying something that should be common sense as someone who had to grow up around a culture that I never had any really meaningful connection to. Personally I don’t think that’s really a good thing for people as we see now with increasingly volatile immigration crises in various countries that no one seems to be able to solve.

Immigration isn't the crisis - genius. The question is of resources, not people. Nations and oligarchs hoard those resources - not the immigrants. Were you under the assumption that immigrants could simply TAKE whatever they want when they arrive? That's not how ANY of that works, bud. This is why you need education.

I wasn’t even talking about the economic aspect; I was referring more to these kinds of people who insist on living in places where a) they don’t have any meaningful connection with people around them, and b) they refuse to build support those like them who also came over in a meaningful way. Like, what do Muslim immigrants in Sweden who don’t ever plan to integrate into its culture expect will happen to them in the long run? They may have been able to live off of welfare for a few years, but with the backlash against their culture that’s been growing for a while now it seems like a lot of them have set themselves and their children up for long-term failure.

Immigrants come here specifically to get money and housing. Dems were giving it to them. It's all caught on video and on record. New York FA and SNA. CalFresh. Section 8, and tax funded vouchers.

My beef isn't with immigrants. It's with illegal immigrants. They use resources without paying taxes, they increase premiums and hospital costs because they don't pay for hospital services. They change congressional seat apportionments by census.
The only people that should be helped in my book are people that aren't capable of helping themselves the disabled and the elderly.

The legality of the immigrants does NOT in the slightest cause those who control money and housing to shift their resources to things we need. They literally just gave all that dough to Argentina. They are demolishing homes to make room for their businesses. You're gonna need a better argument because this is absolutely idiotic. You think by stopping the "illegal" immigrants this helps you in any possible way? It doesn't.

You wanna care about the ELDERLY and DISABLED? How about looking at your team that doesn't wanna extend the healthcare benefits FOR them in the CR? How about addressing the fact that the IRA bill from 2022 gave the ELDERLY AND DISABLED premium tax credits on Obamacare that doesn't expire until December 2025 (so there hasn't been a REASON to include it in a CR before now - before you say some stupid nonsense about it not being included before)?

If you care about the elderly and disabled, then you are handedly on the complete wrong side of the argument regarding this shutdown. You're like, arguing for stuff that makes sense in the absolute most idiotic way possible and it's really sad because it makes me wish your parents and educators would have done better by you. This is really a shame to see someone who claims to want the best for people be so uninformed and kept so intentionally incapable of reasoned thinking that they can't even notice that they are arguing against their OWN claims.
