I'm not Iranian myself but I was a TCK and I cringe every time someone mispronounces Shanghai ( the a in shang is pronounced like in song, same with wang and tang. Also, the song dynasty is not pronounced the way you think it is. It's hard to explain.), and I always make it a point to look up the native pronunciation of a place when I don't know how to pronounce something.
