For some reason that is coming as a bit of a shock to U.S. based Jews who really REALLY thought that the Dem Party was their sanctuary from that only to discover -- starting with Barack Obama's obvious disdain for Israel -- that Jew-hating is now a leftist past time.

There are 35 members of congress that are Jewish. 9 of 10 in the Senate are Democrats (1 Independent). 21 of 25 in the House are Democrats (4 Republicans). If I was Jewish, I could not in good conscience associate myself with a party that despises me, but power is power I guess.

Obama supplied 100 billion dollars for Israel to build the Iron dome, without which they would have been pulverized by Iran. George W Bush Jr refused to give Israel that same 100 billion dollars prior to Obama. Trump moved the US embassy to Jerusalem.

I have a lot of questions, actually. Why doesn't Israel allow international nuclear weapons inspections, like Iran did, or sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty? Why doesn't Israel allow journalists to report freely on Gaza? Why doesn't Israel adhere fully to international human rights laws? Why doesn't the Israeli govt do a deal with Hamas to release the hostages if that's what they actually want, like they did with Gilad Shalit, instead of prolonging a war that has raged for almost 2 years? Why has Netanyahu been in power 17 years despite multiple corruption scandals, in a democracy? Why is Israel still building illegal settlements in the West Bank even though it's completely against international law? 🤔 Etc.

I'm no fan of Hamas terrorists btw. But the Israeli govt isn't exactly playing by the rules.

Actually the answer to all those questions is Israel.
