Right, every red state has the right every blue state does, gerrymander to the extent possible to make your opponent as weak as possible. There are a lot of seats possible if both sides go nuclear. I think the precedent has been set, mostly by blue states, now it is the Red states turn.

And while gerrymandering is something that's has been pushed by both major parties in states, the ones who do it the most are by far are Republicans and this is been known for decades. If it wasn't for gerrymandering, Republicans would be winning as many seats as they have been winning presidencies by popular vote for decades now.

Wrong all states go by popular vote, except Nebraska and Maine. Nebraska is looking into taking their 52 to 48 district and making it Red by adding some of the 73 percent seat. Then adding a dab of Omaha to the 73 percent seat, maybe make it 60, lol.
