Because union members only know two words one is more the other is strike the unions killed Detroit as a city. To do something that can only be described as unskilled labor working on a line doing the same thing over and over turning a screw installing a seat placing a windshield does not take much skill therefore does not rate 50 to $60 an hour plus benefits plus health insurance plus personal days plus vacation days etc etc that is a good part of the reason that cars are so expensive these days one is government mandates the other is labor costs I mean to the employees themselves more power to them I guess but they're shooting themselves in the foot long term
