Studies show that in states without minimum age laws, 42% of young people aged 18 to 20 used their own gun to commit suicide, while 79% of those under 18 used a family member’s gun.

and i just checked. my kids are still alive. and they know how to use a handgun, and enjoy coming to the range.

Nice deflection. Should I take it that you're absolutely not going to acknowledge you just talked out of your ass?
2 ups, 1w,

Deflection isn't dishonesty, it's a form of avoidance. Youy're still seeing what you want to see.

Shit, son… YOU’RE one to talk. You keep seeing Nazi’s, homophobes, and misogynists when you look at Trump and his voters. It doesn’t matter one shit to you that you’re wrong… you see what YOU want to see.

Let's get it all on the same thread.

First off, really? Swearing and a cheap attempt at throwing but-muh-senority card? That's sad.

But okay, I'll play your game; tell me how I'm wrong. Show everyone where I've called someone a nazi/homophobe/misogynist who wasn't doing things nazis/homophobes/misogynists do. Certainly, you must be able to lay out a litany of examples considering your allegation of *and I quote* "Your whole meme and comment history is totally made up of 'alleged'. It’s literally your stock in trade."

I mean... what with that kind of tacitly evidenced stalker-level attention to my posts it shouldn't be too difficult, right?
0 ups, 1w
LOL... that was weak!! Although, points for aim when it comes to hitting your foot.

How about detailing for everyone how you determined that I don't find the idea of Nancy Mace being Trump in high heels nauseating. You can do that, right? Show us your mind-reading skills. 😏

Or how about the quotes concerning Erica McEntarfer's firing; are you saying that didn't happen? I mean... if my "whole meme and comment history is totally made up of 'alleged,'" then those quotes are, at the very least, false attributions, right?

Don't be shy, now... do lay out for everyone in extensive detail how Thom Tillis didn't say whomever fired McEntarfer needs to grow up.

so you claiming the nonexistence of my kids is deflection?

hmm.

I'm actually okay with you exercising a form of avoidance with regards to my children. this is a good thing.
2 ups, 1w,

Wow... didn't think it'd be that easy to get you to admit you lied about having kids...

Eh... live and learn.

read it again. slowly.

you are claiming that my kids don't exist.

my kids are better at grammar than you, too.

You're seeing what you want to see again.

alleged -adj.

2 : asserted to be true or to exist

Read it again -reeeally slowly- and consider the fact that the term "alleged" indicates neither confirmation nor denial of a thing's reality. Rather, it indicates that the reader has nothing to go on but the word of the interwebz utterer.
0 ups, 1w
Yeah, I ain't doxxing my children's identities for you.

Your whole meme and comment history is totally made up of “alleged”.
It’s literally your stock in trade.

"... or, in your case, not seeing what you don't want to see.

i can't school you forever; we're done here."

So indicating I'd like you to elaborate on something you're attempting to convey means I'm not seeing what I don't want to see in your book?

"now who's seeing what they want to see?"

So you're saying that asking questions and stating verifiable facts is "seeing what one wants to see," then?

you've been saying that for the last day or so.

"Yeah, I ain't doxxing my children's identities for you."

No-one asked you to. But just for the record, you're the one who decided to drag your alleged kids into it as though your ownership of firearms somehow has some magical bearing on your alleged kids internal fears concerning their chances of getting gunned down in a school shooting.
0 ups, 1w
My kids have zero fear of being "gunned down in a school shooting."

Small familiar communities help.

Homeschool / co-op helps too.

Teaching common sense goes a really long way too.

"My kids have zero fear of being 'gunned down in a school shooting.'"

So you're a mind-reader, then?

"Small familiar communities help."

Search: "'I guess it happens everywhere': Shooting deaths & fire rattle small town of Stewartstown"

Oops.

"Homeschool / co-op helps too."

See: "I guess it happens everywhere"

"Teaching common sense goes a really long way too"

"Common sense" is the same deductive methodology employed by flat-earthers sooo... yeah, let me know when you're done grasping at straws.

now who's seeing what they want to see?

mental health and gun ownership are completely unrelated.
3 ups, 1w,
1 reply
Really? So laws barring the mentally infirm from owning firearms were passed for what? Shits and giggles?
0 ups, 1w,
1 reply
also unrelated.

your previous comment attempted to imply that owning a gun increased the odds of a suicide bring committed. the inferred conclusion of the "stufy" as you cite it is that less guns == less suicides.

go ahead and deny that was the intent, but that was the intent.

owning a gun does not increase the likelihood of suicide.
2 ups, 1w,
1 reply
Wholly related as evidenced by the aforementioned laws.

My comment was a statement of fact, you saw what you wanted to see. But okay, your alleged "kids" will suffer some degree of mental health issues. And well... it is what it is, suicides happen. Good luck with that 79%.

Really? Let's review: I agreed with you (uh-huh) and you immediately when into uh-uh mode. Seriously, I didn't expect you to be quite so Daffy Duck.

Btw, if you'd like to know why I told you to re-read my opening comment, well... I was holding out hope that you'd realize you made the mistake of attempting to inject extra parameters into a comment that has nothing to do with minimum purchase age.

What they used MATTERS. More women in this country attempt suicide than men, but more men commit suicide -- because men use guns. Just think, if they hadn't had the guns, we'd have thousands of American men still with us! https://cams-care.com/resources/educational-content/the-gender-paradox-of-suicide/

It doesn’t matter one little shit to the one who offs themselves or to the friends and families of the one what offed themselves. If they don’t have access to a gun, they will find another way.
1 up, 1w
we should have commonsense Tylenol control laws. nobody needs a bottle of 30 for a headache.

And if you buy such a large bottle, you should be put on a redflag no-alcohol list.

if it savea one life....

If they find another way, they're more likely to survive and get help, which does matter to their friends and families.
0 ups, 1w
Meh… personally, I think anyone who commits suicide is a loser. Suicide is a cowards way out.

I think that you and those like will use any tool in order to make guns go away. I don’t believe you give a shit about suicide, school shootings, etc… you are just using them as a vehicle to get where you want to go, and where you want to go is to a total repeal of the 2nd Amendment and the people’s right to defend themselves against naked aggression.

I hope that you're aware of the statistics and don't keep the guns in your house: having a gun at your house raises the whole family's risk of dying from them.
0 ups, 1w,
1 reply
not keeping them in the house reduces the probability of that family using them to defend themselves to 0.
0 ups, 1w,
1 reply
Of course, the probabilities are in favor of bad outcomes rather than successful self-defense.
