It's okay not to understand the meaning of "objectify": this is a nice learning opportunity for you.

Dehumanizing people like those rioting, looting and burning cars and buildings while waving Mexico flag. That kind of dehumanizing?

Ok Harvey you’ve changed my mind! Now I hate them all!

You don’t hate to hate people. If some enters your home uninvited, you kindly ask them to leave.

If they refuse, you may have to forcefully remove them.

If Jesus came to your door uninvited, how would you receive him?

I know my lord and savior, he would be invited.

I don’t know the millions of uninvited people, many unvetted, breaking laws that every citizen must adhere to.

I Know the difference.

I lock my door, not because I hate others outside, I locked it to protect those I love inside.
Jesus said love your neighbors, not let them take over your home.

And have immigrants taken over your home? My relatives who live near the border benefit hugely from immigrant labor and creativity: it's a major reason why they chose to move there.

United States is my home. As is yours (assuming). Immigration good, (my grandparents were legal immigrants) illegal immigrants bad.

If you wish to argue the legal process is messed up. I would agree with you. It can be costly and approval process way too slow. Refugee process should also be updated.

The approval process and the asylum process should definitely be improved, but entering the country without documents shouldn't brand people as illegal, or necessarily bad. This country has a too-long history of using immigration red tape to further ugly white nationalism.

It is technically a just Misdemeanor to enter the US. Not a felony so I get your point.

Obama deported lots a illegals during his presidency. In the millions. No one protested or looted because of it.

This is really about Trump doing it. Plus for every 700 thousands illegals deported Democrats lose a Congressional in blue states.

If anyone really wants to understand the fierce opposition.

When I think of undocumented immigrants, I think about families. According to the study below, some 850,000 of the current undocumented population of the US (which they estimate at around 11 million) are children. We know that other immigrants are working to send money home to support their families in their home countries. Many are fleeing from life-threatening social and economic instability. The current policies are very cruel, and are adding stress to a group of people that have already suffered tremendously. A major difference between the Trump and Obama policies is in having ICE target people at schools, courts, workplaces and places of worship: in other words, they're NOT targeting dangerous criminals: they're targeting people who are trying to work, live normal lives, and do the right thing, including seeking asylum through legal channels.

I hear you. Their is an emotional aspect for sure. Trump may be leveraging it for political reasons. Some economic challenges are ahead. Replacement workers for one thing. Some advantages to reducing the population is housing markets will be effected. Home value may rise yet rentals should come down significantly with additional vacancies, exceeding demands.

I don't think mass deportations will make much of an impact in most states, where undocumented immigrants make up less than 1% of the population. It is providing stress for communities out of proportion to the actual number of people affected directly by deportation (by the way, affected, not effected). If you read down in the data, even though there are less than a million undocumented children in the US, there are some 4.4 million children living in households where at least one member of the household is undocumented. That's a number of vulnerable children larger than the population of 24 out of our 50 states, threatened with extreme stress and instability. If we can know that and not be upset by the policy, we have forfeited our right to call ourselves fully human.
