Part of the problem is that I asked for three good reasons.

Not in the San Francisco block of the Peoples' Republik of Taxifornia. Here they would make $38,833.60 per year, going up to $39,894.40 per year on July 1st of this year. That's assuming they work full time. But we both know people making minimum wage don't work full time. Well, it's more accurate to say shouldn't instead of don't.
I think if you could be realistic for a moment, you'd realize that minimum wage jobs really shouldn't be what someone aspires to as far as permanent employment goes. Kids, part time workers, short time workers, etc., yes. To support a family? Hell no.
If someone actually thinks a minimum wage job should allow them to support a family, then imo they really should never have had a family, since they can't even support themselves.
