funny , my dad didnt fear being shot in school and you could buy military rifles from the surplus store back then legally, things that are illegal now. Crime was much lower in his time although guns were more readily available, but back them you actually went to jail and did hard time for doing crimes..

Had a pickup in high school with a rifle rack holding a shotgun and a .22. Parked it in the schools parking lot… as did many many others.
Not one single school shooting in my day. If we had issues with another, it was settled after school behind the gym. A few times, we even became friends.

Thats... Actually a very good argument. I do believe that Guns should be limited so that people have to have background checks to get them. But If the problem is the person, Then why is the gun violence rate higher than it has been, at least in schools.

We already have background checks and all of that. The thing, though, is that those that don’t obey the law will still be able to get a gun. In every state where there are the strictest of gun laws, they also have the most shootings. And it isn’t the law-abiding that are doing the shootings. It’s the law-breakers.
It’s higher in schools because the U.S. education “system” coddles its students from an early age and instills a sense of entitlement that carries into junior and senior high.

Hey, I have a novel suggestion. Pass a law that calls for the immediate execution of anyone who is found guilty of shooting up a school. Publicly… and often. I guarantee that school shootings will drop dramatically.
