Not all nonprofits actually spend their money on helping people. And even if they spend as much of their money as possible on helping people, they might not be making any changes,.or may even be making things worse instead of better and either be too clueless to notice it or worse, too scared to admit it.
The DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program was big in the 1990s and its effectiveness was extensively studied by many outside researchers. They all agreed that DARE didn't work, and some of the researchers even thought it made the problem worse. Since then, better strategies have been devised to keep kids off drugs.
