The end of the American democracy is inevitable

If I was the government, I would run both sides of the media to give the illusion of a two partied system with the illusion of choice. I would control and manipulate false narratives with manufactured media to persuade and sway public opinion towards submission to a predetermined agenda.

Too late...it's already being done. Just like everything, you come up with a genius idea, to discover it's already been thought of and carried out.
