But now for the actual truth: 70 nations -- so far -- are lining up to renegotiate the balance of trade with Trump BECAUSE he threatened them with tariff. Now the Left's leadership and mainstream media KNEW from the get-go that this was Trump's goal but for political propaganda purposes they let the average Dem THINK -- in so much as the average Dem does EVER actually 'think' -- that these were going to be imposed as is, period.
Obviously, this is assuming the tariffs go into effect. Hopefully none of them do. A lot of countries are coming to the table, sure, but China appears to also be willing to play chicken with their economy
Yes, it's called economic brinkmanship. They push back because they are a proud super-power and because the Dem Party's leadership taught them that the U.S. will ALWAYS cave in to counter pressure. Now Trump is re-educating them.
