The country needs controlled sensible immigration. Those who came here illegally should not get amnesty. Birthright citizenship needs to go. The last thing this country needs is to import more welfare recipients. Those who come here need to assimilate. Europe is a fine example of how not to do immigration.

Reagan was against illegal immigration. But yes, he did negotiate with the Democrats to allow amnesty for what was supposed to be about 1 million illegals in exchange for securing the border and keeping illegals from getting jobs. It turned out the 1 million was closer to 3 million and then border security was poorly enforced by future administrations.

McCain WAS an American. Who served. And is NOT a hero, but a zero. He was involved in the ‘67 USS Forrestal incident where 134 sailors were killed and 150+ were seriously injured.

Additionally, as a POW, he broke faith with his fellow POW’s.

McCain was a prisoner was who was severely tortured, sustaining permanent injury (he couldn't even lift his arms up far). The Vietnamese offered to release him earlier when they found out who his father was but he refused, opting to stay with his fellow American soldiers.



He's a real American and a real hero.
